Skeptical at first, but after my son showed me detailed reviews on Alex tvs- I have to say this is a bargain. BB had the unit on sale and then discounted an additional $200 after purchase with price match. Excellent for watching tv and having. Good sound. Only drawback is a slightly narrower viewing angle which does not matter in his room configuration.

Really great TV from a picture capability perspective. However, the quality achieved will come down to broadcast content- broadcast quality/format. ALot of potential but at a fairly steep price point. We purchased at Best Buy during a $300 off promotion and was the best price found for the TV. I have noticed i wish it was a little brighter- energy savings brightness not adequate so regular mode only acceptable setting for adequate brightness. Good sound quality from the unit- however due to a minimal number of inputs for peripheral devices, i will be adding a soundbar to increase sound dynamic and allow more inputs (DVD/XBox/etc). Nice TV overall and satisfied with the purchase.

Various connectability via wired, wireless, network printing makes this ideal for a college student with multiple devices.
