Installation problem

After installing the washer, the installer over-tightened the nut on the hot water valve. As a result, it broke and the entire hot and cold water assembly needed to be replaced. This involved cutting out the old box from the sheet rock, buying new valves, some piping and replacing the PVC drain. Also replaced sheet rock and repainted. Thank goodness my husband is skilled in this area and we only had to buy parts. And he did a beautiful job. But just watch out for this type of thing. The valve could start slowly leaking and/or explode with water everywhere.

Great washer

Love it! Bought with matching dryer. It’s big and has a lot of settings for the type of wash you’re doing. Has sensors for the weight and water level needed. Clothes come out clean. I use pods so it rinses thoroughly. Have not needed to use 2nd rinse cycle. Handled a comforter with no problem. We use the fast spin option to get the clothes wrung out as much as possible so that they spend less time drying. It was necessary to use zip ties on the drain hose and water lines since our space in a laundry closet is limited. If they touch the back of the washer, they will bang against it during the spin cycle and will make a lot of noise. The zip ties did the trick and a U-clamp on the drain hose prevented rattling also. With the laundry closet doors closed, the washer is fairly quiet and this is important because it’s right next to our living room. This model was also a best pick by Consumer Reports.

I really can’t rate this item since it was not needed for my installation so I returned it unopened. It’s just a shame that the customer must buy this knowing it’s not needed, then having to take it back to the store for credit. There was no problem with the return. They must be used to it.

Okay for a Kitchen

Bought this for my kitchen. It's a "smart" tv so I was able to add the apps for Hulu, Netflix and Prime, etc. that were built into it. The color is a little pale. Nothing I did changed it. The sound quality is not great. But it's okay for seeing news while prepping food and I can see programs I could not get on a non-smart tv. This tv is on an analog converter and does not have its own cable box connection. For $169 it does the job.

I appreciate simplicity and often wash cloths on a favorite setting. Do not want to always be pushing a bunch of buttons for each load. Would you say this has an ease of use for repeating the same type of cycle or do you have to go back to pushing buttons
It's very simple. Select the kind of wash you are doing. (I use Normal for most loads.) Power on, select Spin, Water Temp and Soil Level. Push and hold start button. If you are the only one using the washer, the settings are remembered. However, many loads change - like for hot or cold water, delicates, whites with bleach, towels, heavily soiled work clothes, comforters, etc. I like having the choices. Very easy to change as the load dictates.

how quiet is the machine compared to other models?
Our washer and dryer are in a "laundry closet" very close to the living room behind bifold doors. When you install the washer, you need to make sure there is enough space behind the washer so that the water lines don't touch the back of the machine. Otherwise, the vibration of the machine causes the water lines to bang on the back. We had to do a little finagling to do this in such a limited space. We use the "FAST" spin on the clothes so that they come out much drier. When we finally got the washer properly positioned, it is not very loud when the doors are closed. The initial spin cycle can be a little noisy, but as soon as the fast spin gets going, it it is much quieter. No washer or dryer is going to be silent, but at least I don't have to raise the volume on the TV.
