Cilian Murphy is the protagonist as you follow him waking up from a hospital bed to his unknowing that the world has changed around him. Now this is how to revive the Halloween franchise! Its so refreshing to see a fresh breath of air installed in this series. Jaimie Lee Curtis is back and brilliant as ever. She is paired with her daughter, played by Judy Greer and her granddaughter. A sort of passing of the torch for a new generation. Halloween is full of spooky and moody horror that slips right up on you. I was overly impressed with this installment and I want more.

The Favorite is by far one of the most entertaining, comical, and inventive films I've seen in a while. The acting is superb. All three actresses brings their A-game to this romp of a film. The director Yorgos Lanthimos should be praised for this achievement. Taking history and flipping it on its head is genius. The use of fish eye lens is also a brilliant touch. This movie is definitely one of kind. A must see. Wonderful.

If you are not into a lot of blood and torture then this movie is not for the faint of heart. The Hostel franchise is definitely in a category all of its own. The pair of films both have interesting premises and characters which is why they are so addictive. They are equally frightening and makes me never want to travel or go back packing in another country. Shocking, grotesque, and full of terror. Watch at your own risk.
