I picked up this receiver during one of Best Buys Black Friday sales for $350.00 The unit has a sleek look and gives good sound for my purposes. But,unlike my old Pioneer 5.1 receiver that showed a grid of each channel in use on the display, this one just displays name of the sound format. It handles pass through well. I have a small room setup so this receiver is fine for me. The remote does not have a back light.

I bought these speakers as an open box item for $105.00 to add Dolby speakers for my newly purchased 7.1 /Dolby Atmos receiver. These are upward firing speakers and are supposed to reflect downward from the ceiling ,but I did not get that result. The room has about an 8 foot ceiling but ceiling is tiled. I put speakers high on back wall for better sound. Sound is functional but does not sound full range. I isolated speakers during opening scenes of Top Gun : Maverick and did hear sounds isolated to Dolby speakers.

I picked this up on sale for $9.99 I had seen this movie on low resolution streaming which did not do it justice. This for 4K disc was like I was watching a different film. The image is sharp and the High Dynamic Range was beautiful for the low light and night scenes. The Dolby Atmos sound track was very powerful and immersive.

I bought The Warriors steel book Blu-ray the day it was released and watched it for a good trip down memory lane. The artwork on the steel case is superb with as I recall the original poster art in the black and red tones. The picture has good film grain look and the colors are muted and subdued as most of the movie takes place at night and low lit areas. The surround sound is good but not overwhelming.

I picked up this movie primarily for the thundering race car scenes I remember from the theater. The 4k disc did not disappoint. The movie image was sharp and the High Dynamic Resolution evened out look of the picture and gave the movie a natural film feel considering many scenes were in bright sun light contrasting shadow. I listened to movie in 5. Dolby and sounds of the race cars were thunderous with very deep and room filling bass and I felt as if I was sitting in the middle of the race track.
