So, I was going to keep my mini 6 as long as I possibly could, but then Apple Arcade forced my hand. The game I wanted to play could only be run on an A17 chip or higher, so I had to upgrade. I love that the new model has the same form factor, so I can use the same case as my old one. I didn't love that it doesn't play nicely with the Pencil gen 2, so I had to get a Pencil Pro for the same functionality.
I love to use this as my "I'm home now" device, letting me put my phone away and consume digital content more comfortably. The weight is just right so it doesn't feel too heavy to hold up for long periods of time. I paired it with a matte screen protector and everything is amazing. Since I backed up my mini 6, I was able to do a restore in minutes and it's as if I was using the exact same tablet, except newer and faster. I wish all upgrades could be exactly like this.

More and more gadgets are USB-C, which is great for charging. I bought this charger specifically for the 4 USB-C ports, since all my current charger hubs only have 2 and I have 3 gadgets that need charging all the time. I like that there are 2 "legacy" ports as well, for my old headset and the couple of micro-usb chargers that I have. The cord is nice and long and lets the charger sit nicely on my nightstand, so that my cables are within easy reach of the bed.

Great beginner multi-effects pedal

I'm just starting to seriously put some time into learning the electric guitar that I bought 30 years ago, and this is my first pedal. I really enjoy all the various tones and effects that this pedal can produce.
Since it's battery powered and doesn't require an amp, I can just plug in my guitar and a set of headphones and jam whenever and wherever I want as loud as I want without disturbing my family. I had to buy an ac adapter since it doesn't come with one and I have been going through a set of batteries weekly since I got the pedal, each set lasting about 10 hours.
The looper and drum machine are added bonuses, as I can lay down a rhythm part, loop it, turn on the drums, and play lead on top. I can even hook up any audio source through the aux in for even more ways to add a backing track. After connecting my tablet, I played a video from the internet that was 15 minutes of a blues progression backing track in A minor, and just worked on my pentatonic scales. Now that I know what the different effects pedals actually do, I have a better understanding of what I should be getting when I want to put together a proper stomp board.

I purchased this mic arm to use for my mirrorless camera. I also have the Elgato Prompter and needed a good option for using it on my desk. I usually use a tripod, but when I'm sitting at my desk I needed a better option. I tried a cheapo mic arm, but when not in use it is in a very awkward position. The Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP, however is compact to not bump into all the time. The configurability of the arm is excellent, allowing all sorts of positions to be locked in. I like that there are channels for stashing the cables. Even the "ratcheting" handle on the desk clamp shows attention to detail. All in all, a well thought out design with good execution, you can really see that this is a premium product compared to the bargain option.

My wife is a streamer, and wanted a fish cam for the aquarium in the other room. I got this camera as an inexpensive option. It works really well on my spare laptop. I didn't bother with installing any software. I stream over my network via NDI and my broadcast software picks it up as a video source, easy peasy. The quality is fine for what I am using it for, which is sporadically popping up shots of our aquatic companions. I don't put the camera in the tank, it's sitting on the table to the side.

I'm loving my time with the Switch 2. Everything about it is an upgrade from the original. The magnetic click for the joy cons is so satisfying, and popping them in and out of the console or any accessories is so much easier with the new mechanism.
Mario Kart World is a blast to play with my family. I am also enjoying the free roam mode, it's relaxing to just cruise around with no real goal other than to see what's beyond the next horizon.
I like that there are upgraded versions of classic switch games. Even non-upgraded games are greatly benefited from the beefier hardware, as load times that used to be significant are reduced by huge margins.
Being able to use my legacy controllers with no real loss in functionality (other than losing access to the new social button) is really great because otherwise I'd probably be spending just as much as a new system to deck my family out in new gear just to play together.

I purchased this to record gameplay from my video game consoles, as well as a handheld gaming PC. I was intending to do my streaming from a secondary laptop with an i7 processor (but no dedicated video card). I had a few issues with sound over HDMI, since I was using an external monitor that did not have speakers. I tried everything including running the sound out of an audio jack on my console, then feeding it into the audio in on the HD60X, but that sounded full of static, even after installing an in-line filter. I searched online to find many people in my position. I did open a support ticket, and got really prompt responses, but ended up resolving the problem of audio through HDMI by just switching to a monitor that did have audio out. This still didn't solve my static issue.
After hours of swapping cables, trying different sampling rates, and everything else I could think of, I was about to give up and return everything when I decided to try the HD60X with my gaming PC instead of the laptop. Everything worked fine, and I had zero issues. I guess my laptop wasn't powerful enough to capture everything from the HD60X, especially without a dedicated GPU.
So, for my original use case, this is not an option, but it seems my original use case was flawed from the start. With good hardware, this device works fine. I just wish I could have used it like I was planning, but that's no real fault of the device.
Capturing gameplay from my consoles into OBS works perfectly, and I can even play a game watching the feed in my OBS monitor without lag.

Best basic rice cooker

Growing up in a large Asian household, it was my responsibility as the oldest grandchild to be the one to make sure that the rice cooker was always stocked. I assumed every rice cooker had a keep warm function. Imagine my surprise when I read through the manual to find there was no such function on this appliance, just cook and off.
Now that I have my own small family, we don't eat nearly as much rice, so having it available all the time is less of a concern. This tiny little rice cooker is excellent for our family, as it makes enough for dinner for the three of us, with a little extra to make fried rice the next day. Since I put the extra rice away in the fridge right after dinner, we don't really need to keep it warm for hours. And when we are done using the cooker, it fits easily into the bookcase that we repurposed for kitchen appliances.
Provided you use the included cup and the marked lines on the pot, making perfectly cooked rice could not be simpler. I like that the lid is simple and easily cleaned, which is something that the fancier rice cooker models don't have. I also never knew not to wash the rice in the cooking pot, as it can scratch the surface, but after reading that in the manual, I now wash my rice in a strainer before adding to the pot. This old dog can learn a new trick or two.
