Great USB-C dock with PD. Could use more USB ports

With laptop manufacturers cutting down on the number of ports and even going to USB-C only, all of my peripherals either need an adapter or one of these docks. Having PD means that I can plug my power adapter into the USB-C port on the dock, and it transfers to charge my laptop. There's an SD card reader on it, so I've actually used this dock with my desktop PC on occasion to grab files off of my cameras. I like that it has both DisplayPort and HDMI ports, but am puzzled by the VGA port. With only 2 USB 3.0 slots and 1 USB 2.0, I would have gladly given up the VGA for either another USB-C or another 3.0, or even another 2.0 because who still uses a VGA in this day and age?
I also like that there is an audio jack for those of us still carrying around wired headphones.

Excellent for OBS, useful for almost everything

I have and use the Stream Deck Mk 2, and have been using it for all sorts of things, but now that I'm doing more recording / streaming with OBS, I found that having dedicated knobs for volume controls makes things so much easier. I do miss having more physical buttons, but the touch strip makes it super easy to slide back and forth between layouts.
When I'm not using this for streaming, I have layouts for various games and applications where having macros and hotkeys are super useful.
There's even a plugin to control my smart lighting system, so when it's night time, I can hit a button and dim all the lights in the house.

Got this to supplement my Logitech wheel setup. Even though there are shifter paddles on the wheel, having a real knob shifter makes a huge difference in making everything feel "right," especially when driving in VR. I like that the look and feel match my wheel. I didn't know that you have to push the knob in to engage the reverse gear, but figured it out eventually.
I don't know how to drive stick, so I figured this would be a good way to get used to things. My wife, however, learned to drive on an old stick shift pickup truck out on the farm. She hopped into a simulated mustang and proceeded to have herself a blast just running laps on a practice course.

We have come a long way since the ol' "Duke" controller. These days, the Xbox Series X/S OEM controller is the defacto standard for both Xbox and PC gaming, and with good reason. The ergonomics are perfect, and they can pair with both a console and a Bluetooth device. I bought this one specifically to use with my VR headset now that MS has released a Game pass app for it, allowing me to stream and play while in VR. Plus, it's handy to have a third controller that is just like the other two I have, because nobody wants the janky knock-off.

My daughter loves her new watch. She is able to keep in contact with us as she explores the neighborhood and develops her sense of independence. I like that we control who can contact her and it can't be used to call other friends with the same watch, only contacts approved through the parent app. Since she is under 13, there is a managed account, and we are setting up a special managed debit card to link so she can use tap to pay within limits. She is too young for a phone, so this is the best solution for us.

Getting the band back together

Its been at least a decade since I last picked up a plastic guitar. In that time, I had a daughter, gave her an appreciation of what is now considered classic rock, and taught her to read via karaoke. To fine tune her pitch, I went and bought Rock Band 4 strictly for the singing, since buying a used guitar controller that worked on the newest systems was like hunting for treasure. When PDP hinted at the upcoming guitar controller, I knew I had to get two. Now my wife, daughter and I are akl jamming out to the hubdreds of songs I have collected over the years. The riffmaster fits my hands like an old friend. Everything feels great, the strum bar isn't too mushy, the fret buttons push down nicely, its not too clicky. Now PDP needs to come out with a drum set and Harmonix needs to cone out with some sort of sweetheart deal to unlock RB3 exports (I missed the window when it happened forever ago) and all my rocking dreams will come true

Amazing gaming performance in a handheld

I'm obsessed with miniature computing. I've had just about every sub 8" PC built by all the big manufacturers, and none of them were any good for real gaming. When Valve came out with their handheld gaming device, the gauntlet was thrown down, and Asus picked it up. I actually sold my gaming laptop to fund this purchase, and I'm so glad that I did.
As a gaming-first PC, Asus tries to take away the pain of navigating Windows 11 without a typical PC interface by providing a picture based menu featuring all of the games that you install. If you are already a PC gamer, then your entire Steam, GoG, EGS, and other gaming libraries are available to be installed, since this is fundamentally still a gaming PC. Windows could care less what it was wrapped up in, so long as you have the specs to run the game you can run it. You won't be able to run your game in ultra graphics mode with all the settings turned all the way up, but it's a small compromise to be able to play on the go.
I have an old USB-C dock that I got for my wife's laptop, and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to use it to connect to multiple monitors and attach my keyboard and mouse. Why wouldn't it work, it's a Windows 11 PC after all! This came in super handy when I took my family on vacation. I docked the Ally to the large TV in the living room of the villa, and I had a full featured entertainment system. I was also able to login remotely to my work PC to pull a Winston Wolf during a little emergency that occurred back at the office while I was supposed to be surfing. And of course, it was a lifesaver on the long plane ride out to the islands and back, but a couple movies and a few adventure games, and I could hardly tell the difference.
The device itself is pretty huge, but surprisingly comfortable to hold for long gaming sessions. I could do without the rgb lighting around the sticks, but there's a software option to customize it or turn it off entirely. Yes, like any other gaming PC, you have to deal with Windows and its quirks, but for real for real, if you're a PC gamer this is nothing new and nothing to complain about, you already signed the unholy pact long ago and dealing with the update cycle and drivers and tweaking every single setting is just the ritual sacrifice that we all partake in in order to bask in the phosphorescent glow of our favorite pixelated pastimes. Of course, there are launcher programs designed to replace Asus' Armory Crate launcher that incorporate emulators (yes, you can install them) but I sort of like dealing with the desktop, since I use mine for the PC part as well as the gaming aspect.

Great for travelling with multiple devices

I picked up a handheld gaming PC, and I was about to link my series S controller to it for max compatibility, but then I was thinking, do I really want to have to keep changing the sync every time I swap between desktop, handheld, and console? I was also going to be travelling with my Switch, and didn't want to have to bring a controller for that as well. I also have recently been experiencing some drift with a couple controllers due to the way they are constructed.
Welp, all problems were solved with this controller. Since the dongle is in the dock, no matter what device it's plugged into, handheld (with it's own dock) or desktop, it gets recognized as an industry standard x-input controller. When I flip the switch on the back to BT mode, my Switch picks it up and it just starts working there. The only thing I have to remember is when I'm on PC, that the buttons are labeled wrong, but that's something that Steam can fix if the game supports it.
I grabbed this not only to make my life more convenient when travelling, but also for the hall effect sensor joystick technology. Shelling out over a half-yard, even upwards of a c-note on some, is not unheard of, and doing such on a controller with inferior tech that is destined for eventual joystick drift is such a waste of money to me. Since the tech in this controller can mitigate deterioration of that sort, it was obvious to me where to throw my shekels.
The controller itself is comfortable to hold. I get confused as to which of the middle buttons does what, but that's on me since I swap between devices so often.

Perfect for carrying around

I'm obsessed with smaller tablets and computers. I've tried every single one of them, from small windows PCs to small android tablets from every major manufacturer, and the pen experience, while ok on some, is just not as good as the one with the iPad. Also Procreate is only on iOS. So, with that being said, if you want Procreate and a smaller tablet option, then this really is the only choice. This is from a Windows and Android guy. At this point, with everything on third party services, there's no real difference between the three other than the interface and the exclusive apps.
Perfect to hold in the hand for extended periods. Excellent for a quick sketch. The cameras on it are adequate. Everything is snappy and opens quickly. I hate to admit it, but this is probably my current favorite gadget.

I had the previous model of this press, but the updated version gets hotter, which is what I need for dye sublimation. Very simple to use. I singed my wooden table on accident at 400 degrees because I wasn't using a protective pad, just a silicone sheet. I was used to pressing at 285 for iron on things, and never had a problem. I kinda want the smaller one too, now.
