Bought this to try to rid myself of a ground-loop hum I have had for years in a Sunfire sub. Didn't work. Not to say here that it wouldn't work for someone else in another situation, or that it wouldn't be a fine wire if you didn't have to rely on those grounding wires. But I just went back to an old Audioquest interconnect I had been using, to no effective change.

Pretty good. One of the side wooden uprights was flawed in manufacture, and they did send me a replacement. Unfortunately I didn't notice the flaw until the artificial light was replaced by natural light through the window, after it was all put together. And those glass shelves are held in place by a myriad of suction cups! I have the replacement, but not the courage to try to pry that glass away from those cups. If you buy this, make sure everything is right before placing those shelves.

I'm living with this, but wondering if I should have stuck with a Roku. I am having frame-rate issues if I leave the box on Dolby Vision and play anything that is not DV. The only way I can have a smooth play-back on any other HDR formats is by leaving the box on 4K SDR and passing the signal to a 4K DV setting on the TV, through-passing the blu-ray. Will probably wait until Black Friday next year and get a Roku box half-price (hopefully), to make the comparison. When it's not stuttering, it's still a nice picture. But still .....

I can't speak to the comparison with the regular blu-ray, as I didn't bother to do a side-by-side. I was impressed by the blu-ray when I saw it years ago. That being said, this 4K was really good, with a film that begs for detail and color extension. Again, can't say how much better it might be, but this 4K end-result was darned impressive, and fun, fun to watch.

I actually bought (at X-mas, for cheap), and have watched, the 4K disc of this, but much prefer the 3D presentation, as I do for most films. A pretty good transfer. Not too much pop-out, as I remember, but very decent depth and detail.

Had to return one of them. Two virtually identical systems, and I switched the units out between the two systems. One (the first I bought) was absolutely dead quiet when it was alive with no active signal, while the second had a persistent high whine, which actually continued at a lower volume when it went into stand-by. So 5 stars for the first one, which is working well. And recommended if you get a quiet one.

Hate to hammer here, but facts are facts. Original installer didn't have the tools to hook my copper tubing to the stainless line I bought, and found later with the second install, had kinked and broken the copper. Second installer, a few days later, found the leak and cut back beyond it, and successfully hooked up the water supply. But he and his co-worker didn't pull up the feet of the fridge far enough to engage the wheels, and in yarding the thing around, dented the door faces. Best Buy did replace those door faces a week later, and things are now as they should be, but it was an on-going trial. Hence the 3 stars. I will recommend this service, because things were eventually made right, and also -- if you don't have the tools and the expertise, what are your options?
