Where is the water tube screen ?
Water tube screen is in the water compartment under the ice collection tray on the bottom right corner

How do you remove the top from the carafe. It is not hinged. It snaps. For us it is very difficult to remove the top. We are afraid of breaking the thin plastic carafe top? Is there an easy way of doing this?
Hold carafe by handle use thumb on same hand to open lid use other hand to grab lid while open and tilt twist wrist and it pops off with ease. You wont break the lid it is very durable. My last machine and pot lasted 5 years. I bought the same exact one and I'm still using the old pot and lid. Hope this helps
