Suits My Needs, Especially Admin Customization...

I had to upgrade my router so that I could get a router customization that allowed me to regulate Buffer Bloat, for online multiplayer games on Xbox Live.
Before I purchased this, on DLSR reports, my connection rating was a D- because of the horrific buffer bloat that was bogging down multiplayer gameplay. After tinkering with the Admin customization on my browser (admittedly, this took quite a while cause I know next to nothing about networking), I managed to set everything the way I wanted too, and no longer have frequent issues when gaming online. And following up with DLSR reports website, my connection tested A across the board.
The router is a bit large, not tall , but fairly wide, but I would definitely recommend it.

I really, really liked the look of this controller, and the grip on the underside was nice. Overall, I liked it, but I docked a star because even though I dropped it a couple times, the left bumper started failing after less than half a year.

Good But A Little Off...

These are a bit pricey, but I game a lot and wanted something comfortable. The ear muffs on this headset are great, very comfortable, however, I don't know if it's cause of my head size (I didn't think my head was THAT big), but after a few hours the headset feels like its squishing my skull and requires a lot of adjustment.
The plugin adapter "mix amp" is useful for being able to adjust ratios of game sound to party chat on Xbox Live. I don't mess with the EQ settings as there's only really 3 settings, and they're kind of generic, you can't do any fine tuning with them. I'm pretty sure you can with an external Mix Amp, but that's too bulky for me and costs extra.
Sound quality is good for the most part, although sometimes I hear slight audio distortions when I'm in party chat with friends, but when unplugging the adapter and plugging it back in, it resolves itself. I have no idea if this is because of Xbox Live or not, but it's only a minor nuisance, although I shouldn't be having it.

I bought a Turtle Beach wireless gaming headset and had problems shortly after. After being so unimpressed with its build quality, I opted to return them to get something of equal or lower value. I decided on an Astro A40 TR headset, threw in a couple extra bucks to cover the difference and walked out of the store content. The whole process was a breeze thanks to the coverage.

Comfortable And Convenient Letdown...

I was pretty excited to be able to go wireless in my cramped bedroom, so I wouldn't have to worry about my headset cord snagging on anything. At first I was quite impressed with the sound, and the comfort of the ear muffs. However, within a week sound would just randomly drop out, making it impossible for me to communicate with friends online.
I tried multiple ways to fix the problem, including updating the firmware, moving modems/routers, to no avail. I returned them and picked up a par of Astro A40TR. They're wired but they're comfortable and reliable. Dunno if I'll use Turtle Beach again as their build quality seems to be going downhill.

Return To Glory, Bugs And All...

I waited a long time to get this, and was very excited to find out the game was getting remastered. The graphics are amazing considering how massive the open world map is. I'm sure there's a lot to process when the game's running, but it looks great.
The one downside, somewhat major is many of the bugs from the previous version on XBOX 360 were never patched. But that's Bethesda for ya. Just maintain a healthy 20-50 game saves and rotate them so a game breaking bug doesn't set you back too far.
This is a great RPG, the story involving the Dragons is interesting, and the story involving civil war through out the land is kind of comical since it doesn't really seem to matter too much who you favor. There are plenty of funny quests and character, all kinds of unique loot and strange encounters to be had. This game has some of the funniest random glitches since there's so many resources and variables to pull from. Would highly recommend to anyone that likes RPG/Fantasy games.

I can't seem to find a list of approved 3rd party modems, and can only find forums indicating that ATT will only lease to you and won't activate 3rd party modems. However, you should call them to find out for sure if that's the case. If 3rd party modems are allowed you should ask them to provide a list of any that are compatible with their activation.
