Lovely sub-woofer and controller, but sounds tinny
on August 30, 2020

Verified Purchase:Yes
Purchased to run from a gaming laptop, so maybe I could of dabbled a bit more in EQ or something, but the main speakers still sound a little high on the treble. I've got a few Insignia soundbars that sound much better right off the bat. However the set has a few saving graces, first being the sub-woofer. I haven't had a sub-woofer for speakers in years so that might be coloring my experience, but I find the sub to be quite adequate, really helps with the atmosphere in some games.
The controller really comes in handy and doesn't take up much space at all. I only wish the cord wasn't so short--at least an extra foot would've been great.
Although I'm content with using this set, I wouldn't recommend it or purchase it again. It's too much of a hassle for setting up in my room, and the tweeters are so heavy on the mid and high frequencies that I much preferred just hooking up my headphones during certain games. A slight tweak could really make this set amazing.

Simple and effective

After running low on available ports, I needed something to be able to run a second monitor from my gaming laptop. This was one of the few solutions available to me considering the available ports on my gaming monitor.
It's pretty straight-forward: the mini DisplayPort end goes into my laptop, and the DisplayPort end goes into my monitor. Works just fine, nothing else to set up.

A nice collection

Purchased this for my developmentally disabled roommate, so I'm quite happy that the menu system is easy enough for him to navigate to: Play All, to watch all episodes per disc.
The case is a bit cramped, but the plastic seems strong enough to last a while, I only worry that because so many of the discs are stacked on each other that they will scratch too much over time. However, it is nice to have them all in one spot, instead of having a collection of DVD boxes taking up too much space.

Feels great, there's some lights, too

Purchased solely for a gaming rig so I wanted something that felt like it would last a while and was responsive. There's quite a bit of travel for the keys so my fidgety hands aren't accidentally pressing keys. It's real sturdy and considering the price well built. I'm not too sure about all of the shortcut and remote keys because I don't use them.
Although I don't use it for writing, it feels comfortable enough for lengthy use. The RGB feature is pretty customizable, but RGB isn't for me--if it's you're thing, this is a go to.
Unless the cable gives out, I have a feeling this will last for years.

Magic Keyboard with numeric keypad features an extended layout, with document navigation controls for quick scrolling and full-size arrow keys for gaming. A scissor mechanism beneath each key allows for increased stability, while optimized key travel and a low profile provide a comfortable and precise typing experience. The numeric keypad is also great for spreadsheets and finance applications. And the built-in, rechargeable battery is incredibly long-lasting, powering your keyboard for about a month or more between charges.

Love the look, keys are too sensitive for me
on August 21, 2020
Posted by: ZackAttack
Verified Purchase:Yes
Although I have no plans on replacing this anytime soon, I must stress right away that the depression of the keys on this keyboard is far too easy of a thing to do. Now, it doesn't need to be the spring-board kind of action of a mechanical keyboard, but it would be better if the keys were as resistant as the older Apple wireless keyboard keys were.
As it stands, I'm constantly accidentally pressing down keys--whether from double or triple tapping, or hitting a nearby key, I'm constantly resorting to hitting delete and having to retype. Thankfully I'm only using the keyboard for music production, so more often than not, I'm only using the mouse. Still, if the keys are going to be this sensitive, they might as well just make it like a touchscreen. I have many hand/wrist issues including carpal tunnel in both wrists, and I still dislike how easy it is to depress these keys.
Having complained that much, I will emphasize, that it's still as strong and robust a build as previous Apple keyboards. It looks amazing, particularly the color, but the design itself is pretty sharp.
If you prefer keys of yesteryear, you might want to test this in person to see if you'll manage with it. If you're a writer and plan on typing a lot, you definitely want to test it in person to make sure you'll like it.

The Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter lets you connect Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 devices - external hard drives and Thunderbolt displays, for example - to any of the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports on your MacBook Pro. As a bidirectional adapter, it can also connect new Thunderbolt 3 devices to a Mac with a Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 port.*

Solig build that keeps your gear functional

After changing computers I didn't want to replace my completely functional peripherals just because they were Thunderbolt 1, and this was a welcome buy. It's pretty straightforward, in that it allows you to connect a Thunderbolt 1/2 device/plug into a Thunderbolt 3 device/plug. It's a little pricey, but it's better than buying replacements for $1,000 worth of peripherals.

Worst investment I've made with Apple
on August 21, 2020
Posted by: ZackAttack
Verified Purchase:Yes
I had this device, in an operational setting for 8 months, and within that time frame I've only gotten about 2 months worth of uninterrupted function. From the get-go, I had issues with distribution of power to peripherals, despite the peripherals having their own power supplies. Meaning, on numerous occasions one or more of said devices simply wouldn't be recognized by the computer.
The biggest problem for me has been the T2 chip. I guess I should've researched it more, because I wasn't aware of how much control the T2 chip has over what the computer processes. I bought this to for audio production, and that was my first mistake. For the first few months, I'd have random audio drops, clicks, pops, etc regardless of what audio interface I hooked up to it (be it USB or Thunderbolt). Worst though was when I installed the -oo2 security update with updated the firmware of the T2 chip. After that, I had constant random crashes that corrupted the main drive. I had to wipe and reinstall everything twice, thousands of apps/plugins for music production. A LOT of time spent doing this, only for the problem to continue and for Apple to not recognize or at least acknowledge this was an ongoing issue for many people with 2018 minis and Macbook Pros.
I eventually took it to an authorized repair, during the Covid-19 pandemic (even more stress tacked on), and all they could do was swap out the logic board to replace the T2 chip, because if anything screws up the T2 chip, the computer might as well be a brick. That I as a user can't have control of what the T2 chip processes or prohibits is the reason why I'm getting rid of this trash.
I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1, because it was a very capable machine tech/specs wise, but for all of the trouble I went through that's as high as my rating can possibly go. A complete stress-fest. I'll go back to my reliable 2013 iMac, and my 2013 Mac Pro trashcan is already doing what the mini failed to... you know, work.

Works fine, but could be better

It's a simple DVD player, nothing special to say really. I'm not sure what's happening functionally but there is a significant delay when pressing the buttons on the actual device (as opposed to pressing buttons on the remote control). If I press on the open/close button, it's takes a long time to eject, and I'm talking 80s-90s era computer disc drives slow. I don't know why, cause if I use the remote it's pretty normal on how quickly it ejects.
First world problems. It's good for the price, and it's exactly what I needed to get a replacement ASAP when the last DVD player died.

Great follow up to the MX Master 2
on August 21, 2020
Posted by: ZackAttack
Verified Purchase:Yes
As of August 2020, I had been using the MX Master 2 on my music production computer (the extra buttons come in handy for audio/video programs). I've very much enjoyed it, and from time to time only had minor hiccups of lag. So recently I had severe lag and thought maybe it was going bad and decided on the MX Master 3.
I researched the MXM 3 a lot before purchase, so I knew what I was getting in to and I'm not disappointed. One of the things that drew me in was the side scrolling wheel being more accessible for my thumb, and the texture being more tactile because of the change to metal (same goes for the center scroll wheel). The center scroll wheel is dead-silent, regardless of what mode it spins in.
I don't know what it's called but the side push down button you depress with your thumb/palm seems a little more sensitive than on the MX 2, but it's not that bad really. I'm only 5' 6", but still have rather large hands, so I do get a little worn out with this mouse compared to the MX 2, because it is a tad slimmer. I feel like my palm and wrist are doing more work to control the mouse than before, but it's not really that big of a deal, and in fact might be a bonus to someone with smaller hands.
As it turns out, the technical problems that caused me to buy the MX 3 where resolved and I don't even need it, however, I've really enjoyed it and consider it an upgrade. So, I'm going to relegate the MX 2 to my daily browsing machine, and continue to use the MX 3 for my music production computer. I would definitely recommend this.
If you just need a simple mouse for regular activity, there are loads that are cheaper, but if you like working with shortcuts, especially in a production sense, I would highly recommend the MX 3 to enhance your workflow. The center scrolling wheel is the best around!

Very good, but with a slight storage issue
on August 21, 2020

I purchased this for my roommate so he can watch all the shows he used to when he was a kid. It's a massive box, and so far the content is great. I'm not really sure how compression works but it seems to me like it should have been feasible to squeeze in more episodes per disc, but it's still a good collection.
I had one gripe, and it's somewhat significant, thus I deducted a star from the rating. The central pegs that hold in the discs are a little oversized in my opinion. Perhaps it's a fluke in our case (no pun intended), but it's pretty difficult to get the discs out. For me personally, I'm patient and will be delicate with removal, but I purchased this for my developmentally disabled roommate, and the process of removal is irritating for him. Keep in mind, he has loads of DVDs, and for the most part has no problem with the others, but I worry that he might break some of these discs by accident just because of how tightly they fit onto the central pegs.
That gripe out of the way, it's been really fun watching some of these episodes and the layout of each disc is pretty informative. Before each episode plays, there is a brief message that states when the episode originally aired. You also get to watch the pilot episode, and through the seasons see how the production changed, especially as Desi-Lou productions gained more power.
I would HIGHLY recommend this for any I Love Lucy fan, with the only hesitation being that the discs can be troublesome to remove at times. Perhaps a lite oil can be applied to the central peg to resolve this issue, but I don't know.

Does the Otter have an opening to be able to charge the phone?

Yes, there's a flap that you can pull up to reveal the charging port. It is the same general location as on the phone (bottom, middle).

Does this mouse require a USB Connected receiver to work. I am trying to free up USB Ports and I want to be sure it will not take up a USB Port.

It can either be used as Bluetooth or with the included USB receiver.

Bridge legacy devices to an HDTV with this Insignia analog to HDMI converter. Its standard RCA AV inputs let you connect an analog camcorder, video game console or other analog device, and its selectable HDMI output supports HD and Full HD displays. This Insignia analog to HDMI converter comes with an AC power supply for stable operation.

Will this work to connect N64 to a smart tv?

It should as long as the N64 or the output coming out of it is RCA. I'm currently using it to hook my Nintendo Wii up to my HDMI input TV.

Geek squad said this device would connect my new Westinghouse 58" t.v. to my Bluetooth ready stereo but not working. Could you recommend a solution?

Are you sure you purchased the right product? If you're wanting the TV to produce sound through the stereo, you probably need the HDMI to RCA converter, not the RCA to HDMI converter. They are different as the input and outputs are swapped around.

Can I hook these speakers up to my 65” big screen ? Do I need any other items to hook up to big screen? What other inexpensive speakers would you recommend ?

So long as it has a standard 3.5mm analog output port it should work. You might have to buy a convertor if the output isn't 3.5mm. Can't help with recommendations, sorry.

The NETGEAR 24 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem provides a connection to high-speed cable Internet, up to 960Mbps - 24 downstream & 8 upstream channels. It's CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 Certified to work with cable Internet providers XFINITY from Comcast, Spectrum, Cox, Cablevision and more.

is this product compatible with AT&T U-verse??

I can't seem to find a list of approved 3rd party modems, and can only find forums indicating that ATT will only lease to you and won't activate 3rd party modems. However, you should call them to find out for sure if that's the case. If 3rd party modems are allowed you should ask them to provide a list of any that are compatible with their activation.
