Professional, but a little late

The delivery people (2) came half an hour past the arrival window end time. Not bad, but since the window was within two hours, that should have been plenty of time.
Other than that, they were professional in how they came into the house, carefully brought in the unit without banging doors or walls, gently set it down so as not to hurt it or the floor, and verified the unit was OK afterwards, and in their demeanor in general. Unfortunately, our H/C water valves were frozen, so they couldn't install it just then - we had to call a plumber to fix it, and then we had BB come back. The process of having BB come back, haul away our old unit, and install this new unit, that whole post-delivery process was a nightmare, but that's not what this review is about...

I hunted far and wide for a model like this:
- Top-loading. No smelly residue as with front-loading.
- Simple to use. Well laid-out controls, big knobs, absolutely no need for Wi-Fi or fancy electronics.
- Big enough to handle a pillow.
- Unlocked during water fill. I want to be able to put in detergent, adjust load spread, etc., while it continues to fill.
- !! Most Important 1 !! Manual water level control. I do Not want the washer to decide the water level for me. I want to make good and sure there is enough water to get all of the suds out of my clothes! It even allows a second rinse to ensure that. Also, I find that the loads I considered Large with my old 3.5 washer now only require Medium with this 4.5 one, due to the larger tub allowing the clothes to spread out more. So, even without using its auto-water-level feature - which it has, even though I don't use it - I still use less water than I did before!
- !! Most Important 2 !! Drain/Spin cycle. Many new washers have only a Rinse/Spin cycle and not a Drain/Spin cycle. If I have something soaking wet and want to get it un-wet, I do not want the washer to add more water to it before spinning.
- Another plus that I didn't have before is the timed auto-soak feature. It is great to be able to let whites sit in soapy water for a while before the main cycle starts.
So far, this washer lives up to my expectations completely!
Some have complained that it is noisy, but mine lives in the basement and I don't notice the noise at all. It's definitely not any noiser than the 30-year-old one I replaced! Besides, when its noise does come through, I enjoy hearing it, because I know how far along it is. I'd much rather know this information that way, than having to be glued even more to my phone while waiting for a WiFi notification.
Simple and easy! I hope they don't stop making it, because someone out there needs to continue making washers like this for people like me!

Long-lasting combo

This is my second purchase of this combo. My first was 2-1/2 years ago. Of the first, the mouse is still going strong, but the keyboard lost its ability to copy and paste using Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V, as well as the Space Bar, because I use those keys so much (hundreds of times per day). I wanted the same unit again, because it has a built-in wrist rest; it shows the Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock on/off in the display as well as the battery level; the FN key alternatives are clear to read; there are extra keys for volume control; and the keyboard has a tactile touch. It seems nearly impossible to find all of these features in newer wireless keyboards, especially the Caps/Num/Scoll + Battery indicators. I would much rather have an older yet more comprehensive wireless keyboard than a newer and slimmer keyboard with less to see at a glance. I hope Logitech reads this review and comes out with a newer wireless model with all of these features (so far, their newer models miss something, especially the number of lighted indicators).

Plenty of power for basic entertainment system

After charging this unit for the suggested eight hours, I plugged in most of my entertainment devices into the power-backup outlets, including TV, sound bar, Blueray player, cable box, cable Internet router, and an extra router for home security. I then turned on the unit and all of the above devices, and set a DVD to start. All of that registered as using only up to 20% of the battery power available, for up to 15 minutes. I later went to my circuit breaker box and turned off the power to that area of the room several times, and the unit worked like a charm, keeping everything on even with no lights. Granted, the unit has an extremely low joules rating, compared with normal surge suppressors, but I have a full-house surge suppressor, so I'm cautiously confident. Also, the LED panel is easy to read and figure out. So far, I'm very pleased!

Bluray great, but casing cheap and intros annoying

I am very happy with having this set on Bluray, as the video quality is exceptional and there are loads of extra features on each disc, and the price can't be beat. However, sometimes the audio backs off. (I prefer it when disc-makers do NOT use limiters to bring the volume back during loud segments, especially with Bluray.) Also, the case these discs came in quickly broke one of the tabs that keep it closed, so the case is less well-made than other cases of discs I have purchased. Also, the first four movies start straight away without first going to the menu (which I find annoying, since I need to set the captions to ON for my mother), and the last three movies FORCE you to watch advertising before the movie starts and prohibit the ability to skip the ads (using ANY of the standard Bluray player menu buttons) and jump directly to the disc menu. Despite the caveats, I still recommend it because of the overall value.

Does this washer come with a drain hose. The Best Buy website says it does not. The Lowes website says it does come with a drain hose. The GE Operations manual says it does come with a hose that will reach 5 ' high. The HomeDepot site does not specify.
We purchased this unit (GTW465ASNWW) through Best Buy, and we also purchased the installation service. (And the haul-away service.) When the unit arrived, we got a new drain hose with it. I do not know, however, if the new drain hose came with the unit itself, or as part of the installation service. Given that page 18 of the Owner's Manual and Installation Instructions (downloadable) does show the drain hose and related parts to connect it, my guess is that it came with the unit. If you purchase the Best Buy installation, you will probably have the same experience we did, i.e., getting the drain hose one way or the other, plus you'll get two new water cables. You can also purchase a haul-away service from Best Buy for your old washer.

How many hours of battery back up approximately does this have?
The unit is officially rated at 10.4 minutes at 210W, with 1 minute at full load. However, for my entertainment system setup (TV, sound bar, cable box, cable router, extra router, Blueray player), it tells me that it will run for around 15 minutes, and that I'm only using around 20% of the battery power (which would be around 100W).
