With over 30 devices connected to our home internet across 3 floors, it was time for an upgrade. Our previous router was TP Link and never had any problems in the 5 years we used it (and I've been through a lot of routers), so going with their mesh system seemed like a good place to start.
This is definitely a mesh router system for people who want to set up their own but do not have the in-depth knowledge that some systems require. I personally would have preferred more control over the backend, but it'll work for now. 4 stars just because I can see myself upgrading again due to the limited customization in the app. But for most households, this is probably a 5 star product.

This is my first smart thermostat. Installed it myself and had no issues. Instructions were very clear and easy. Switched from a bare-basic, builder-grade digital thermostat that had NO features or options.
This thing learned within 3 days how we wanted to change the temp from day to night and back again. I'll be interested to see how it handles the change in seasons, when we might be shutting the AC off to open windows, then go to heat, then shut off, and then maybe back to AC (gotta love PA weather).

I currently have the 770 model. My bedroom rug has areas of black in it. My model will not vacuum over black or very dark brown. Does the 960 clean dark carpets? Does anyone know if there is another model that would?
Unfortunately the 960 still has trouble with black areas on carpet. I ended up changing rugs so that I wouldn't have a problem anymore. I don't think this is something that has been fixed in any robot vacuums.
There are two ways you can blind the cliff sensors. One doesn't require any physical changes, just taping some laminated white paper to the sensor areas. The other involves permanently blinding the sensors by modifying the sensors themselves, so would only suggest this on an old model that is no longer under warranty. I've tried both options on an old 560 that I now use in my basement where I have 3 black rugs. I wouldn't recommend either modification if you have your Roomba run near stairs, though.
