I bought this device so that I can easily stream Xfinity TV. Although I hate Comcast/Xfinity and their Customer Service is terrible, I love this Roku device. You are able to stream much more with Roku. I wish some day to have a voice activated remote that powers my TV and surround sound system along with my Roku.

Unfortunately this is another Arlo product that was not ready to be released when it was. I have a need for this type of system so decided I would try since I already have a number of Arlo and Arlo Pro cameras. This seemed to work fairly well for the first three days but now it is useless because no one that I have spoken to at AT&T has any idea of what I am talking about when I try to activate the SIM card. So basically I got to use the 15 minutes of data that was included and now the camera is inoperable. I have contacted AT&T via a number of methods and no one has helped. Arlo support is also no help. It sounds like no one at Arlo is aware of how the Arlo Go works and they have no idea of how their own data service plans operate. They continue to ask me about the base station that the Arlo Go is connected to (which this camera does not use) and they tell me I have no data left when it clearly shows that I have used 0 out of 120 minutes that I am paying for.
I have pages of notes in front of me regarding the many people I have spoken to and chatted with online, but to no avail.
Very frustrating. Although I do have a need for this type of system, Arlo will not be the one. It will be going back before my return period ends this week.
Think twice before purchasing. This one is simply not ready to be out on the market yet.

Try Arlo Go Verizon

I had to take back the ATT option of the Arlo Go for the same reasons you mentioned but I gave it another try, and bought the Verizon option and I love it! Verizon is shaky on tech support for this camera but they go look for the information and actually help. By the way, I do not work for Verizon I only have great service with them. I do not work for Arlo either. The camera quality is great! The Arlo Go does not need the base station but the other models of Arlo cameras will. I am about to purchase a package of 4 Arlo Pro cameras with base station included. I will be plugging my newly purchased Arlo base station into a mini surge protector with battery backup. I hope this information helps.

This monitor is not cheap but worth every penny. I love it and highly recommend it. The only thing I still can't figure out is if it has sound. My surface sure thinks it has sound but no sound ever comes out of it.

Do you have to pay a monthly payment for all the channels, and is it a fee for each channel??
There are free channels you can watch with your Roku device and there are paid channels you can watch. When compared to the yearly cost of cable, paying for a few of your favorite channels is much more economical. For me, I am talking about a difference of a few $100 a year (what I pay now) instead of over $1000 a year (what I previously paid).

How do I tape a tv show on a dvr using a 3800 Roku. I can not find any buttons on it for that purpose.
The channel/service you are using to watch the tv show has to be Dvr capable. That is, you have to have dvr service included in your package with sling or whoever you signed up with. For example, I have dvr service with Xfinity TV (not to be confused with Xfinity Cable TV) so I am able to dvr a tv show if I want to. I simply navigate to the tv show schedule and select record using my Roku device. You may have to do more clicking to find the on screen menus for recording the tv show, but you can do it. Hope this helped.

Does the camera work with Verizon SIM card
If you buy the Arlo Go camera Verizon option, you will not need to get a SIM card. The SIM card comes with the camera. Isn’t that great!

Can camera be used off an ATT shared data plan as another sharer and not purchase the net gear plan
Yes you can purchase a data plan for the Arlo Go camera but go with Verizon. ATT provides 0 tech support and basic Customer Service for the Arlo Go camera (they don’t even try!).
