Apple Music works great. The selection of music is really impressive and the spatial audio is a neat feature. The ability to listen to lossless audio is a game-changer and I tell the increase in quality, especially when bluetoothing to a receiver or external speakers. Even works great on Android devices!

A stunning film through and through. It looks absolutely amazing and the best it's ever looked, on 4K UHD. The Steelbook design is very nice and I'm glad I was able to get a copy. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up today if you're fan of Kurosawa or classic films in general.

Simply put, one of the best (and my favorite) Scandinavian films ever made. It's deceptively simple on the outside, but packed with so many subtleties and just simply wonderful characters and acting. Mads Mikkelsen shines as the subdued and depressed/uninspired schoolteacher Martin, as he rediscovers alcohol which leads him to happiness as well as family turmoil. 10/10 film, watch it now!

Amazing and eye-opening Danish film of war and revenge. Excellent all around from the acting, set pieces and directing and cinematography. Sony Pictures Classics hits it out of the park once again!
This release brings together every entry into Peter Jackson's critically-acclaimed The Lord of the Rings trilogy, based on the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. Hobbit Frodo Baggins and the Fellowship embark on a dangerous quest to destroy the One Ring, and with it, its maker, the Dark Lord Sauron, in order to save Middle Earth forever. Included here are The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003).

Beyond amazing. Perhaps the greatest fantasy ever put to film. The 4K restoration is incredible and the HDR color really makes everything seem more realistic. It hardly shows its age (nearly 20 years old) which is pretty unbelievable--it shows how well these movies were made in the first place. The extended editions are the leagues better than the theatrical version. Overall, this is totally worth the somewhat steep price-tag and the 4K restore gets a 10/10 from me. Invest in a good 4K TV with HDR and a nice 4K player (a good sound system as well!) and experience this trilogy in its best form. Enjoy!
Steven Spielberg's WWII epic has been hailed as a senses-shattering, realistic depiction of war, telling the emotional story of a no-nonsense U.S. Army captain (Tom Hanks), who, after facing the horrors of Omaha Beach on D-Day, receives orders to lead his troops on a search somewhere in Normandy for Private James Ryan, a lost paratrooper whose three brothers had been killed in combat. Also stars Edward Burns, Tom Sizemore, Barry Pepper, Vin Diesel, and Matt Damon as Ryan. 169 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Epic epic war film. Excellent entry in the WWII film library, perhaps one of the very best. Visually stunning battle scenes and the emotions, atmosphere and acting are all stellar. 10/10, incredible film.
Director/star Mel Gibson took home Best Picture and Best Director Academy Awards for this historical epic about 13th-century Scottish hero William Wallace, a farmer of lesser nobility, who is forced into fighting the forces of England's King Edward I after they kill his father and new wife. Highlighted by amazing battle scenes, the passionate saga, based on a 15th-century poem, also stars Patrick McGoohan, Sophie Marceau, Angus Macfadyen, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine McCormick. 177 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Three-disc set.

Quite a good film. The script isn't amazing, and some of the acting is a little stiff/cheesy at times, but overall a good epic film. Visually, the 4K transfer looks stunning. Colors are vibrant and awesome. 8/10.

Excellent war film that doesn't overstay its welcome. Some war films are just a but too epic for my tastes, and I feel like most of them can be slimmed down a bit. Also interesting that this one take place in WWI. Really excellent movie and can't recommended this one enough.
Zach Snyder shot and stylized this piece quite well. However, it drags in certain places...and in other places, too. This has been noted before, but Mr. Snyder thrives on "the moment" in his films. Going for the next moment to the next moment...and slowing down the film's speed to make certain you indeed see each and every moment.
Also, right from the get-go you should notice something missing in the opening credits: Frank Miller. He, in fact, sued to have his name removed from this film as he was so disgusted from it vs. his graphic novel. While watching the movie, it does make you want to read his novel (in hopes that it's substantially better). For example, does the graphic novel contain many Hollywoodized vague cliched fallacies trying to be philosophical truths without any debate and argument?
The movie does have a fairly nice soundtrack. Several Bob Dylan songs Woop! and a couple Leonard Cohen's.
Will I watch this movie again? Not sure, really.

You DO KNOW that Alan Moore wrote the Watchmen graphic novel, not Frank Miller, right?!
