What a classic this movie is. One of the all time greats. I never tire of watching it. One of the first blockbusters too. Seeing this as a kid back in 1975 and than seeing it again on 4K blu-ray brings back back a lot of nostalgia.
I thought the 1080 version was incredible, yet this 4K transfer improves on it even further. I mean it really ups the ante again. The sound is impressive too. It has a nice 5.1 track, but includes the original mono track. I prefer the mono track because it has more of the original bass in it. There you go. Folks! you have to pick this up. It needs to be in your movie library.

Like the cover says, "one of the best war films of all time", and It definitely is. It is a harrowing experience, and does something new with the genre. The atmosphere and sense of urgency this film creates is what draws you in. So realistic in it's presentation. The camerawork, what can I say, how in the world did they do that. I mean this film is a case study for the the particular techniques they used in filming it. Just a wonder to watch. This movie is a breath of fresh air in this day of god awful films.
The 4K picture is nicely rendered. The gruesome details of carnage displayed in trench warfare really standout. Kind of sickening at times but authentic. Got to appreciate that. The audio, when the bombs go off you might want to turn down the volume. This 4K blu ray is a must have.

I liked this movie a lot better upon second viewing. I couldn't figure out what it wanted to be the first time out. A submarine movie or a commando flick, it threw me off. It just happens to be both. I took it for what it was and boy did I get into it. The story is taut and intriguing. It is a thrilling ride with outstanding action.
This is one of the best 4K blu rays I have ever seen and heard. It is crazy sharp folks, take my word for it. The sound busts open during the shootout scenes and naval battles. Detailed. This is a winner.

Not Bad. Nice set up in the beginning. Very thrilling. The kids in the movie were a bit irritating. Other than that, it's a fun movie to watch.

A movie that I have come to like and appreciate over the years since I first saw it in the theaters back in the day. I remember how awesome those jet engines sounded in the theater in the 70mm 6-Track format.
The picture on the 4K blu ray is a definite upgrade from the 1080, and to some extent the audio too. I guess it's hard to reproduce that thunderous low end shaking that I remember hearing in the theaters back in '86. It's still good to go. Check it out.

What training goes with this? Will your Apple Technician help set up this computer?
When I purchased my original MacBook Pro 11 years ago I had absolutely no experience with computers. The Apple technicians at the Apple store that I purchased my computer from gave me a series tutorials on the basics of keystrokes and functions. Depending on what you want to do with your new computer. The tutorials can be very in-depth or just a familiarization or both. When I bought my new current computer at Best Buy I asked a few questions just to get started but for the most part, I just carried over what I already new from my original computer. However. It is very likely that I will be asking or signing up for more tutorials to get a better understanding of this very new and upgraded computer.
