Perfect if you know what you are buying.

I bought this drive for one purpose… Time Machine backup on my Mac Mini. And the $/TB was lower than the WD MyBook equivalent. The casing on it isn’t particulalry robust. And longevity hasnt been tested by me yet. As a drive to just sit in the background and do daily backups, its as good as ive used. Unexpected bonus is it is fast enoufh to use as a media library for Plex if you want a big drive for that use. Its not really fast enough for me to want to use for video editing or Apple Photos library, which ive got on SSD. Some users have complained its noisy but i havent found it much louder than other fullsize external HDDs. The fullsize ones can be noosy when they spin up compared to the small portable ones.

Great product but expensive.

Works brilliantly. Gets a star knocked off because it’s just so dang expensive. And I know the rights to use these style ports ends being $$ with money going to Apple, but sheesh it’s painful. That said, the hub works and works very very well. If you have a problem with a Mac Mini not supplying enough power to your external drives, this solves that problem entirely with its own power supply. Fixed my issues. Just cost me almost 1/3 price of the computer to do it.

So far, so good.

It works and does what I need it to…so far. After three Western Digital SSDs frying on me, this one was an experiment. So far, three months or so in and it’s holding up well. Time will be the judge but so far, so good. It is utterly tiny, and read/write isn’t earth shattering but is fast enough for me coming from hard disks. It does what I need it to but provides no other really special features. This its not a perfect score, but I’d buy it again and may buy a second.

Best value in all monitors I’ve seen in 2025!

This monitor is flat out ridiculously good value. Maybe the best value in any monitor I’ve seen. The image quality is not going to compare to monitors that are 3-4x the price, but you won’t find better under $300 in my opinion. The contrast is good and the colors are rich. I’ve got a same size Dell that cost twice as much that doesn’t compare at all. If you are looking for amazing value, you found it. Better is going to cost you a big premium.

Best Mouse on the Market.
on December 24, 2024

This is not my first rodeo with the MX Master series. I had the first generation and loved it to its death, but never replaced it due to moving to a trackpad. After a decade, I decided it was time to go back to a mouse when I bought the matching Logitech keyboard. I can say going back to a mouse is going to be an adjustment, but this one is basically starting at the top. Love the functionality, the smoothness of the scroll wheel and the ergonomics of the whole thing.
My only word of caution is that I'm a pretty big guy and it fits my hand well, but if I had smaller hands, I might find this mouse to be a bit large and index finger to fall too far back on the primary button. So do test it out in store before you buy it. If it fits you, it's really the best mouse on the market.

Basically perfect to my fingers!

I upgraded to a new Mac mini from my old iMac and was using an 8-year-old small Apple bluetooth keyboard that came with the iMac. Moving to this Logitech feels like I'm operating in a different world. The backlighting is awesome. But most of all, I LOVE the feel of the keys. This Logitech keyboard really strikes the balance between the modern style with far less key travel and the old school more mechanical feel. And I mean it PERFECTLY splits the difference. I wouldn't change it at all. Basically perfect. The whole keyboard is heavy which gives a real impression of quality and a product that will last. I like posting positive reviews, but few are this glowing. I should have done this upgrade a long time ago. I love this thing! It substantially changed one of the two human interface points between me and the machine. I don't think I realized just how bad the Apple brand keyboard really was. I'm not using a laptop here where concessions are necessary. This is a proper keyboard that is desktop-worthy.

LOVE this little drive!
on December 8, 2024

Good grief! I've been using WD My Passport hard drives for a decade. This is my first external SSD. I moved my Apple Photos library onto it and had the immediate reaction of "where have you been all my life?" The speed difference the added bandwidth provides is kind of unreal. And this drive doesn't even take full advantage of the Thunderbolt speeds my new Mac Mini is capable of. These little drives are great! It looks like WD may be discontinuing them in lieu of their SanDisk SSD drives. I got this one for less than $100 and at that price, it was a steal!

A mundane chore like washing dishes is easier and more effective with a washing system that has dual wash arms and a spray jet that blasts water at high pressure, covering all angles to clean even the dirtiest dishes. To achieve improved drying performance the AutoRelease Door automatically opens at the end of the cycle to circulate air and dry dishes faster.

Good, but not perfect.

Overall, there is a lot to love. The Pros: This is the quietest dishwasher I've ever owned. And it's a beautiful design.
The Cons: I really should have considered how top-mounted controls sit under the granite countertop lip. They are basically unusable when the door is fully closed. It may be that I just need to acclimate to pressing buttons only when the door is open before I close it to run. If I had it to do again, I'd probably choose a front-control-panel design. But I can likely get used to this.
The other con is that this unit simply doesn't hold as much as the contractor-grade GE that it replaced. On the flip side, it gets my dishes 10000x cleaner than that GE did even when it was brand new. So again, maybe it's not a con that it holds less. It's possible that I was simply packing too much into that old washer.
All in all, I wouldn't call it perfect, but that's a subjective, not objective, viewpoint. It works flawlessly. I just need to get used to doing dishes a bit more frequently.

LOVE MY MINI!!
on December 8, 2024
Posted by: TommyBoy
I didn't buy mine through Best Buy due to getting the education discount through Apple (otherwise, I buy pretty much everything through Best Buy.) I replaced a 2017 27" Intel iMac, and good grief, this thing flies in comparison. I've got an M1 MacBook Air and an M1 Mac Studio on my desk at work as well and this Mini is simply the fastest computer I've ever owned, even at its base spec. (My advice, unless you are a hardcore 3D renderer or After Effects artist, the base model is fantastic. And allows an upgrade path in a few years as specs inevitably improve. It's a bit too easy to double the cost in these units with only marginal returns. Just my personal opinion, but if I get to a point where it makes financial sense to upgrade, I'll save the money now and just upgrade later. But at these speeds, it's hard to see myself doing that.)
I really struggled whether to go M4 iMac or this Mini, and I have zero regrets about this upgrade. It allowed me to move to a 34" curved Dell monitor and I just love it all. The only problem I have is that the Mini is fast enough to really see huge benefits from using external SSD vs. external HDD. So I'm going to end up dropping some $$ down the road upgrading my external storage solutions to all SSD except my Time Machine backups.

UPDATE: Dead drive within 2 months of ownership.
January 20, 2025
I can't figure out how to change my rating, but I'd move this from a 5 star to a 0 star if I could. I've had incredibly good luck with WD external hard drives. They just run forever. Not the case with this SSD. After about 6 weeks of use, it began unmounting itself regularly. And now it won't mount at all. Drive Utility can see it, but Drive First Aid fails with a whole host of bad sectors and cannot mount. THANK GOD FOR TIME MACHINE BACKUPS! I'm currently restoring my Photos Library from my backup drive. I loved the speed of this little drive. SSD is most definitely the future, but I'm quite certain I won't be buying another one from WD or SanDisk.

Protect large outdoor areas like the driveway, garage or backyard with motion-activated LED floodlights, 1080p HD video, and a built-in security siren. Customize the motion zones to monitor specific areas and get real-time notifications when motion is detected. Use the Ring app to see what~s happening, turn on the lights, speak to visitors, and even sound the siren when you need to.

I am looking into ring so much confusion about what I will need. So first question, can this camera be wired to a long extension cord and then be plugged in? What would I need to purchased to make it work?

I doubt it. This light is really made for hardwiring into a fixture box. Like remove an old flood light from house and replace with this. If you haven’t ever done this kind of electrical before, you may want to get some help. Messing with 120 can really shock you. I’m not entirely sure but I think there are other products that may be able to be used with a wall plug. This isn’t one.
