Captains log states that this seems like a true 4k DI but it's a 2k upscale. I was very impressed with the wide color gamut for this one. I own the blu ray and the difference is literally night and day to me. What are you waiting for this is a reference quality disc

This movie does not, I repeat does not need a 4k intermediate, the 2k DI is more than enough. I watched on a Sony X900f with Panasonic UB420. Perfect budget setup and I was speechless by the clarity and colors this movie constantly throws at. AMAZING

This is reference quality on steroids. I saw this in Dolby when it came out in the movies. I saw more details on the disc. The level or clarity is off the rails. Plot wise I always thought this was a great way to get into the Shell Universe. Special Effects blend in with the environment almost seamlessly. I'm glad this is a 2k Upscale because the special effects wouldnt look as good in 4k. How can I put it, you're eyes would see past the illusion. This is a stellar disc and I haven't even made it to the features yet.
One problem. I think I speak for all 4k UHD Enthusiasts, please send the slipcover with the movie. I cant stress this. Only other gripe was my case was cracked from the good ol boys at the UPS. GREAT MOVIE

Forget the 1st one, forget the sequel. This is the best one hands down. The opening action sequence is so good I literally watched 5 times back to back. The story is straigh forward and easy to follow. You dont have to see the first 2, you can jump right in with this one. HDR shines on this. The water moped scene blew me away. The last 20 minutes pushed my system with the ATMOS soundtrack. Bullets are literally flying from behind, left and right and a few sounds from above. This is a great addition to my 4k collection. Huge Vin Diesel fan.

This isn't a bad movie. It does rely on a tremendous amount of chi but for 4k it's awesome. I saw this in 3D when it originally came out and I was entertained. Straigh forward plot but the action sequences (especially the snake scene) really shine with HDR. I thought the blu ray was OK. At this price I couldnt resist. 4K Disc, Blu Ray and Digital copy for under $20 = a steal. Seriously if you want a movie about a hero/demigod retribution with unique special effects, then BUY THIS MOVIE
