Bluray, DVD & Digital for under $5. There are deals and then there are GOOD deals. This is the latter. Great acting and great script from this little time capsule. Some things in history to get swept under the bus and had it not been for this movie, I would have never known about. The launching of John Glenn into orbit could not have been accomplished without Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson. Thank you Hollywood for actually taking the time to bring this fact based story to life.

Needed an Xbox One controller with bluetooth since the Elite series 1 doesnt have bluetooth. Reason being that when playing Xcloud on my tablet, you are required to have a bluetooth enabled control of no game play. I picked this controller for 2 main reasons. Its textured on the bottom for added grip and the laser etched patterns on the side feel good in the hands. Another great product by Microsoft Studios.

Not only is this a reference quality 4k disc but when I opened the steelbook I got lucky because their was an extra 4k copy of the movie. Now this is a movie I can watch over and over just for the performances alone. So subtle you will miss about 20-30 clues that all point to the finale. I felt like I was in a time machine. So much nostalgia from the 60s. The music, the playfulness, this is just a really fun and enjoyable movie to watch. It's about Human beings being human. Pitt & DiCaprio make a great screen team.

Using an Xbox One S for 4k movies vs this player, Panasonic wins. HCX processor makes HDR really shine, and with the HDR Optimizer I can adjust picture quality through the player and not my tv. I'm not even mad about it not playing Dolby Vision. I'm using an LG Nano Cell and the fact that this player allows me to chose my tv type for optimal settings was just a bonus. I've watched a few reference disc and I was FLOORED. Black Hawk Down, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood all looked outstanding. Billy Lynn's Long Halftime in 4k 60FPS on this player is amazing.

I leave my player unplugged when not in use since it does get a little warm when it's off. I have a Panasonic SA-XR25 receiver and that remote works for the DP-UB420 and vice versa. I'm using the coaxial for audio and PCM output is outstanding. Without upgrading my 6.1 system, I noticed the sound improvement.
This player is a beast. I had a Panasonic Plasma TV and I loved it. Hooking this player up to my current TV, satisfied my 4k HDR needs. Now I need Panasonic to start selling more products like their TVs in the US again.

Creed does the job. Not a bad movie. Looks really good in 4k with HDR. Could it look better? Absolutely. But will this 4k disc suffice? From what I can tell, I enjoyed the extra detail so much the movie pulled me in. The thing with 4k movies is, it's supposed to be an immersive experience. Having so much detail on the screen in a fight really pulls you in the story. You feel the pain and agony Creed goes through. The rise back up is one heck of ride in 4k. I was impressed especially when he fights in Russia.
This is a great film with great fight scenes. Good acting and the HDR is not over blown. 8/10

Mortal Engines was shot in 8k and having a 4k DI, this disc shines. Reference quality visuals. Every intricate detail, set piece and cgi effect is perfectly displayed here.
Steampunk madness. Great action sequences. Plot wise the engine could use a little more oil. For 2 hours, you will enjoy but dont expect to get connected to the players of the story. Could have been better, but it could have been worst. It's a decent movie with outstanding visuals none the less. Great addition to my collection

The acting alone is enough of a valid reason for a purchase. This movie is going to make you uncomfortable, which is intentional. HDR is a bonus because this isnt a film of heavy color. Lots of neutral background tones makes certain objects stand out more. This is a drama with horror elements and when those elements kick in, watch out. Lots of research went into the back drop of Pagan rituals for this one.
Toni Collette's performance was academy award worthy. Her range is put to the test. Pay attention to the little details of how she absorbs her character. OUTSTANDING

Coming from the Altec Lansing True Evo, I needed earbuds with a slightly better battery life. Those earbuds have ALOT of bass. Now on to the Sennheisers. Bass is just one aspect of a song and these earphones make you want to listen to your entire library just to hear how good it sounds. Large soundstage. Exceptional mids, perfect bass and you might want to dial down the treble as these have a very high frequency.
Earbuds stay in, I only use to commute on the train. Sound isolation is great, can hear slight background. Using Poweramp for the sounds and combined with these headphones = Hifi Bluetooth.

YES 60FPS MOVIE. Some hate the soap opera effect. I stand by and defend it. This is what cinematic immersion is all about. Even the TriStar horse is in 60fps. For those that dont know, movies are filmed at 24 frames per second. Ang Lee has decided to do 60 frames per second and the lifelike detail is amazing. The movement is closer to life. To me the soap opera effect makes a movie MORE realistic. The movie is ok but like I said many get STUCK just after taking a glance. Cant wait for Ang Lee's next film Gemini Man comes to 4k. Hopefully that disc will be 120fps. BUY IT & ENJOY WHAT YOUR 4K UHD TV CAN DO.
