I purchased this to go with a Vizio 40" TV for the mancave. Man am I glad I did. TV watching is fine, but the movies needed more volume. Put it into Theater mode and it is great for a smaller room, my shed (oops... mancave) is 12 x 12. For a bigger room I would go with something a little more, but for say a bedroom this should satisfy.

Have been happy with it for a year, Smartcast is a bonus with free channels, so I bought this one for my little hideaway to have something to watch without running a cable out there. 1080p is good enough quality, 40" plenty big enough for 11 x 12 room.
