Black Panther is Marvel’s new installment in their Phase 3 of the anthology. This movie was really good. It felt more like a comic book/superhero movie than most of the other ones. Every character had great development and had a good purpose. They weren’t some character thrown in that wasn’t strong at all (ex: Darren Cross/Yellowjacket in Ant-Man). I really liked Michael B. Jordan and Andy Serkis as the main antagonists, more Michael though. Andy had a lot of fun with his role and was one of the best parts of the film. Michael did excellent with his part as Erik Killmonger. He had great development and you could see his perspective of things. He wasn’t just a bad guy they were up against, he was another character that you could feel for. I love Letitia Wright as Shuri. She was hilarious and such an interesting character. Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa was amazing. He was perfect for the role. I knew he was going to do great ever since Captain America: Civil War. The score by Ludwig Göransson was really good. The effects in the movie were pretty good, however there were some parts where they looked kind of incomplete. I really liked the cinematography in the movie. There was lots of color to the film, except for a couple scenes where it was hard to see what was going on. For me, parts of the beginning felt just a little slow, buts that’s only because they had to setup. Other than that I thought Black Panther was a movie Marvel needed and a great new face for superhero films. It is my third favorite Marvel movie now (1 being Spider-Man: Homecoming and 2 being Captain America: The Winter Soldier).

Avengers: Infinity War Review: Wow! It took 10 years to get the setup for this movie. I had been waiting for the Infinity War for so long. I just have to say that it was amazing and definitely worth the wait! As most of you know, the movie is about almost literally everyone in the MCU teaming together to fight Thanos so he doesn’t collect all of the Infinity Stones and destroy half of the universe. I’m not going to talk much about anyone else but Thanos since everybody did superb and knows about their character. Josh Brolin as the lead villain was amazing. He is the best Marvel villain ever made. Thanos has a good reason for what he’s doing rather than other villains that are bad and beat up guys. The film delved deep into his mind so we can understand him. We love him so much but as a villain we hate what he does. Every time Thanos is on the screen we can all feel tension and fear. We’re not like “Oh he’s here to do something bad.” It’s like we panic a little because we don’t know what he’ll do and we’re scared for what he’s going to do. Thanos also has emotion and he isn’t just a tough guy. That’s all I’m going to say about him. The heroes were all great. It’s not like the other Avengers movies where they team up to stop a bad person. They’re teaming up in desperation because they don’t know how they should approach the problem. They know if they don’t stop him, basically everyone will die. It was a very serious and darker movie for the MCU. There were some greatly timed jokes, like usual, so we could breathe rather than hold our breath praying for a miracle to happen. Now on to the technical stuff. The effects for the movie were fantastic. Most of the movie relied on them. There were a minimal amount of times where you could tell it was fake, but I don’t consider that a flaw. The cinematography was pretty good too. For an action movie there wasn’t too much shaky cam but more on wide shots. The Russo Brothers did amazing with directing, as they did with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War. They understood all of the characters and motives. The movie did jump around a lot which some people didn’t like but there was a lot happening so it was necessary. I had no flaws with this movie. It was absolutely amazing and had everything that a Marvel movie should have. I would definitely see it. You will not be disappointed in how great it is.
My Grade: A+ (The cliffhanger at the end was fantastic)
Skittish 13-year-old Kayla Day (Elsie Fisher) may want to seem like she's projecting self-confidence in her little-viewed online posts, but her last days of middle school find her struggling to navigate home life with her hovering dad (Josh Hamilton), her crush on a seemingly unobtainable cool kid (Luke Prael), and an otherwise unending struggle to fit in. Perceptive and riveting read on contemporary adolescence from writer-director Bo Burnham also stars Emily Robinson, Catherine Oliviere, Daniel Zolghadri. 93 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

This movie is literally one of the best of the year! It is al one of A24’s best. Eighth Grade is so relatable and we can all agree on that. Definitely see this one!
The complete sixth entry in the hit FX anthology. A young couple move into an apparently perfect home built in the 18th century. But soon, horrific events begin to unfold at the house, leading the couple to sense something dark lurking beneath the perfection.

Roanoke is a pretty good season for American Horror Story. It does something that no other season has done. Also they actually tried to make it scary in this season so that was nice. The very last episode wasn’t good but other than that this was a great season!
Cincinnati cardiologist Steven Murphy (Colin Farrell) lived an ordinary existence with his wife (Nicole Kidman) and kids... but on the quiet, he maintained an odd, paternal relationship with damaged teenager Martin (Barry Keoghan). As Murphy's children began to manifest strange illnesses, Martin takes the opportunity to insinuate himself into the doctor's home life... and as the shocking true nature of their bond is revealed, so too is the boy's twisted endgame. Yorgos Lanthimos' unnerving thriller co-stars Alicia Silverstone, Raffey Cassidy, Sunny Suljic, Bill Camp. 121 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

I will warn people that this movie isn’t for everybody. It’s odd and slow placed, but that’s a classic A24 movie. They are very good movies though and this is one of them. The perform were great. I loved the cinematography. The odd atmosphere is a mix between other A24 movies like The VVitch and The Lobster. If you like good independent horror movies, this is the movie for you.

Ready Player One is Steven Spielberg’s newest movie he directed. I went into the movie blind so I didn’t wait for any of the scenes I’ve seen in the trailers or pictures. I enjoyed the movie. The characters were good, the music choices were great, loved the references, and the visual effects were amazing. I don’t think any other movie for the rest of the year will be able to top it. Spielberg is always great at directing, so naturally this was a good movie. There were a few flaws, however. There were some characters that you were supposed to feel for, but I didn’t feel any bond with them, really. The main antagonist was weak in my opinion. He was just a guy that’s the head of a business and wants something that everyone else wants and he will stop at nothing to let anyone get it. It was too typical. Some scenes were way too long, dragged on, or unnecessary. The movie was 2hrs 20 min long which could’ve been shortened down just a little. Although the visuals were amazing, there were only a few times where I felt it took away from the movie. Other than those parts, I thought it was good. Spielberg did a great job taking people to the world of the OASIS, and I look forward to seeing it again. My Grade: B+

I couldn’t find this blu ray anywhere and I was so happy when I found it. The Book Thief is a good movie, despite its low score on Rotten Tomatoes. It is very releastic all with the help of a great cast. It will also send you on a rollercoaster of emotions so be prepared.

Sweeney Todd has always been a musical I liked. I was very happy when I stumbled upon this. It was so much better live on broadway than the movie. So glad I found this!
