This is a really cool collectors piece. The music is campy and "groovy " and interspersed with funny/titillating dialog from this eploitative adult scifi film. Great packaging and overall pres. The pressing is great. The master tapes used for this...not the best. But by no means is this to be mistaken for an audiophile recording anyways. Great collector's piece. Naughty fun fare!

I love this film and have owned it since original release. I always figured why upgrade from DVD? These kind of films don't really scream for better resolution quality. It's not Jurrasic Park right? Well, when I saw the great price I decided why not? It's one of my faves so won't hurt. Let me tell you this is a HUGE quality upgrade. Looks fantastic. Perfect. One of the best blurays,quality wise,I've seen. As for the film. This is a subtle, funny, endearing story. Not over the top comedy. Simply great.

Look, you probably already know about this film, and whether you enjoyed it or not. It's a classic film and many probably own a version of it in some format. So isvit worth the upgrade to 4k? Absolutely. The steelbox version is a cool touch, but the real prize is the 4k rendering. This film looks so much better than it's predecessors. This is borderline reference quality. The sound is amazing and the picture has corrected so many of the films bland color and shadow issues of the past. I enjoyed the film even more in 4k so what else could you ask for? If you're a fan of this great piece of cinema this is the best version you can purchase. Highly recommended.

I usually don't watch films like this but had given the predecessor a chance as I am big Katen Gillian fan. Since I enjoyed that one so much I decided to give this one a go. I'll say it's good, but not as good as the first of this series. I did enjoy the different angle but found this one to be a bit more focused on gags whereas the other one just had great comedic writing. I do recommend thisbif you enjoyed the other. If not, just pass this one up. As for 4k rendering, it looks and sounds fantastic.

For once...the masses may be right

I had been hesitantly interested in this film but the hype struck me as overly positive, and not reliable. I decided to buy this as it was on sale and figured if I didn't like it at all it would be easy enough to give it away. So....For once "they" were right! This is a well done, taught, thriller and brilliantly uses the invisibility of its antagonist as an all encompassing source of tension. Very, very cool approach to fearing what you can't see, though it could be in bright daylight!
I don't want to spoil anything so I won't go into details but I will say avoid trailer as much as you can. Do I have issues with film at all? Sure, it's not perfect, but it is very, very good.
As for the 4k elements...The sound is AMAZING. SO GOOD. Iwould give sound a 10/10. Your system is the only obstacle. The better your setup, the more you'll notice the sound quality.
The picture quality is great as well, and the resolution and color is great, though admittedly the film is predominantly bleak, and grey.
I'll give the picture quality a 8/10.
So overall I think this is a great 4k film and recommend it.

One of the best additions to my hifi ever!

To give some background on my application of this sub. I wanted it to go with my two channel system. Basically my turntable/cd system which is only for listening to music. I liked the idea of the phone app that allows you to control the subwoofer parameters from your listening seat. No more sitting, listening, then getting up and making changes and repeat. Now you can listen and make changes on the fly. Very easy to use. App hooks up to the sub via bluetooth, no issues.
So in all honesty I contacted SVS to discuss options with them, and based on my room and equipment(13x14 with 15 ft high vaulted ceilings) etc. they actually suggested this sub over the 3000. So i had some reward points that would cover a bit of this purchase and decided to give it a try.
First day, i thought maybe this wasn't going to work. I was replacing a SONY sub with much less power, and this felt like maybe too much power to control and blend in with my system.
I decided I was a bit tired and would try it out the next day.
I did, and made a few adjustments with the app, and lo and behold this thing really started to floor me.

Know that this sub has a ton of power and is really good at producing an even, non boomy, sub bass down to 18hz.
So i don't use this like I'm running a night club. I use it to provide those frequencies my floor speakers can't and provide dimension and presence to the music I'm listening to. But make no mistake, even with this sub being used at those levels, it can rattle your house with the right frequencies. So i can only imagine if you turned it up how much bass you would get. I would say i have the volume/gain set on the presets to either -14, or -12 for the most part.

Ok, I know this film is divisive. So, let's say if you are familiar with other Jarmusch films, and enjoy them, THIS IS A MUST HAVE. Dead pan funny for days, great cast, and breaks the fourth wall in amusing fashion. If you haven't experienced Jarmusch films, let me say you aren't getting slapstick comedy or gore. Horror is an afterthought vs satire in this film. This is funny but not Shaun of the Dead funny. Much slower, and more deadpan. So, I personally love this film and this release looks fantastic.
I highly suggest picking this up, as long as you know what you're getting into.

As huge fan of this film, I really looked forward to this release. The film is still brilliant, though not for everyone, but the 4k is...ok. I think the image could've been sharper, and seemed a bit "soft," to me, but having said that, the color looks really good and this is a great edition to have. If you already have an edition you are good with, this isn't a must have. If you don't have a copy, and/or not have seen this film, I would say this is a great addition to your collection.

I would not know. This was delivered to the wrong address, which was acknowledged by FedEx, who told me to tell Best Buy to file a claim since they lost it. Best Buy then told me to file a police report since it was delivered to somebody else, BUT nobody knows what address. My local Sheriff's office stated it is not a crime to have an item delivered to the wrong address, and FedEx acknowledged the error; therefore, there is no crime, and a police report cannot be filed. However, I have a report number I spoke to the sheriff's office. Three months later, I am still trying to get them to give me a refund and am sitting on the phone again, waiting for them to find "the best option" for me, which needs to be a full refund.

No. This is region locked to region A only. 100%. I have this player and Region free player and have tested. The only way is if your dvd/ bluray itself is Region free meaning it says so on packaging. This player is not region free. "Region A" only. I assure you. So, no. Only plats Region A ,usa discs.
