Intense; but why?

I usually like Reeves' movies, but Knock Knock neither entertained me or gave me food for thought, even to the point I turned it off. Later I watched the end out of curiosity and did not change my mind. It was very effective at making me cringe, if that is what you like or want.

We recently watched our BD-3D version of Kung Fu Panda 2; great 3D and beautiful graphics, and a bit over the top violence for kids. Unfortunately it locked up before the end. I bought this DVD copy to see the end. Not nearly as nice as the BD version, but did the job of getting us across the finish line.

Colors smear

Best Buy had an incredible Black Friday price for this 50 inch 4K TV, so got it to go with family's new 4K X-Box. Has worked fine for games, the 4K seems sharp. However, when we watched a 4K movie, the actors' faces looked like they had a make-up fight; lots of red blemishing - my kids thought all the men were wearing lipstick. This limits its versatility. Have to fiddle with controls to see if it can be corrected, but the new thing is to no longer provide a manual; also will test it with another 4K player to see if its the X-box's fault. If either solution works, will upgrade review. Even with the rouge I would still recommend this TV for $199, at least for our purposes, and IF it has good longevity.

They work on all but one device, so far. They do have limitations on sound quality, but it is commensurate to the price, so I do not knock them for that. Along with a more expensive Sony headset, their existence was ignored by my "super " Sony TV. That only further turns me off to Sony products, as the fault does seem to lie in the TV's behavior. Hopefully the earphones will holdup over time.

Did not hit my mark

It had exciting moments, but at the end, it was empty calories for me. It especially hit home with the list of the men killed in the name of greed. I felt cheated. First, because BP and greed got away with murder, which is still "in" as a rational way of doing government and business in America. But even more, because all these lives lost and, in most cases, in the end, I not only did not know what happened to them, amidst all the special affects, but learned little about who we lost and the holes their loses created for families, friends and communities. I got lots of kabooms instead. And I still am not seeing much reason to get 4K versions instead of BD versions - maybe my eyes and mind are just too old.
