A decent DC flick, but not the greatest out there. Far better than that remake they did fairly recently. If you like this one in your DC movie library, it's a keeper. Get this one, the 4K and Blu-ray with the extended version on it. I would have liked the Extended to be on the 4K also, but at least they are together here.

Eastwood shines in 4K for IN THE LINE OF FIRE!
on January 14, 2022
Posted by: 93Vet
Fabulous! A role Clint Eastwood shines in as Secret Service Agent protecting the President of the United States.
His character has been on the job for many Presidents.
With several warning signs that the current leader may be the target of a fanatic, Eastwood delivers his own way of handling things. At first, his superiors don't believe him, but it all comes down to facts about how it will all play out.
Fantastic movie with Clint Eastwood as well as other well known
supporting cast members.
Looks really good now in Ultra HD 4K!
They really need to start making more of his movies on this format now in 2022 and in the future!

Outstanding! I was not sure at all if I was going to really like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. The acting was solid and the action was well done. The ending, wow, what a great job on all the artists that worked on the fight scenes. CGI was spot on in this one and the post credit scene with Captain Marvel and Dr. Banner inspecting the rings and their origin is well done!
I highly recommend this marvel movie, folks.
I think it is a good one to add to the superhero collection.
The steelbook is as beautiful as it is pictured in the description.
No dents or dings, it is perfect.

I enjoyed this Spider-Man reboot with Tom Holland, to bring Spidey into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I think it succeeded in doing that and having Iron Man in it helped. Michael Keaton playing the bad guy this time around was a nice touch.
I would say the only thing I did not like about it was some of the language used. If you are watching this with pre-teens, watch out.

Academy Award winner George C Scott gives a powerful performance as Ebenezer Scrooge in this truly heartwarming telling of Charles Dickens' beloved drama. At first, miserable, greedy old Scrooge can't tolerate the revelry of Christmas, much less comprehend it's meaning. But visits from his former business partner's ghost and three cautionary Specter's from the past, present and future force the man to soul-search. Grappling with his own losses, Scrooge recognizes the repercussions of heartlessness in this classic, timeless story that also stars Susannah York and David Warner. Directed by Clive Donner. Starring George C Scott, Edward Woodward, Susannah York, Anthony Walters, David Warner.

George C. Scott plays Mr. Scrooge to the best I have ever seen someone play it on screen. This movie is fantastic and really brings to life the incredible story by Charles Dickens.
This HD Blu-ray looks great and sounds great. I played on the Sony 4K player and 4K TV. Can't get any better than that.
The Blu-ray is a basic one, just the movie and scene selections with motion background and music. Great!
I highly recommend for ALL!

John Hughes does it again with HOME ALONE, now in glorious JD 4K format.
The picture and sound are excellent and it outshines previously released versions, in my opinion. I watched this through the Sony 4K player and 4K TV. I have a sound bar for all audio with TV speakers off.
Blu-ray has all the special features included on that disc.
Digital code is also here.
Highly recommend if you remember this title from Director

Over 60 years after she first ventured into man's world, Amazon princess Diana (Gal Gadot) lived a quiet pose as a D.C. researcher... until she looked into a legendary stone reputed to grant wishes. The artifact let her restore long-lost love Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) to life-but it also turned colorless colleague Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig) into the predatory Cheetah, before falling into the hands of power-mad industrialist Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal). Smash sequel co-stars Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen. 151 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack; English. Two-disc set.

WW 1984 could have been better...
on December 4, 2021

Verified Purchase:Yes
This sequel took a beating from reviews and critics of the DC heroine. Gal Gadot reprises her role as Wonder Woman in 1984 and comes into contact with a foe that possesses a stone to grant any wish. The script itself really was not that good, but Gal did a good job as WW.
The Cheetah really didn't bother me, but the flying at the end where WW is sleeking through the sky with no visible means to propel herself was just too much. I guess the invisible plane idea went a bit too far. lol
In fact, while we are talking planes, how is it that somehow you can get into a plane in a museum and just fire it up and it will fly you to anywhere you want? Museum planes are not fly ready, I don't care how good it looks on the outside.
WW finds out that she can "wish" Steve Trevor back to life, but in another man's body. She doesn't want to let him go, knowing his body is not there, but in mind only. lol
Forget the actual man that is taken over, right Diana? lol
All is set right in the end with WW and the World eventually, but Steve cannot stay in the reality of 1984.
WW finds comfort in the clouds at the end and then low and behold, we get a cameo from the original WW herself, Lynda Carter post credit scene.
Action scenes were decent, but script was lackluster.

Star Trek-The Original Series comes to Steelbook!
on December 4, 2021

I have been a Star Trek fan for a long time, when I was a kid growing up in the '70s, I watched the original series.
Now, in the Digital era we live in, these look so good on the 4K player and TV. If you are a fan of this series and the original crew of the Starship Enterprise, I highly recommend this set.
The Steelbooks are fabulous and lovely with the artwork throughout. The discs are great as well and each are labeled.
The set contains a separate card inside the box for the listing of the series episode titles.
The outer cardboard box is a bit flimsy, so, I don't think I am going to keep that. The artwork is okay on it and the Star Trek black logo has raised lettering. If you get a pristine box, and can keep it that way on the shelf, by all means keep it.
My set was the only one available when purchased and it had a few dings in the cardboard, so it's not a keeper.
The steelbooks are what I was after, personally, and they are
flawless.
Each disc has the menus and easy selections for each episode if you want the enhanced, (which is what I prefer), or the original effects when the series debuted from 1966-1969.
This series has never looked so good and sound is an incredible Atmos 7.1 audio!

The Guns Of Navarone, Restored 4K Edition

Outstanding fictional WWII movie with a great cast!
Gregory Peck leads a team of experts in various wartime fields to destroy a set of East German Guns that can destroy battleships a good distance away. To get to the mountain in which they are hidden, they must all climb up a steep rocky hill, in the dark, in bad weather.
It's a well done movie with plenty of World War II action and suspense.
I think it looks just amazing now and probably the best it has ever looked now in glorious 4K Restored Edition!
The movie is a long one at more than 2 and a half hours, but it is well worth every minute.
Highly recommended, but not for children under 13 in my opinion.

It may seem a smaller movie, but it's really big
By jsoto279 from Illinois, USA
Obviously, everybody was waiting for Avengers: Infinity War, but, we were also curious to know what would happen after that. It was up to Ant-man and the Wasp to bring us back from those devastating events. It was also obvious that anything in comparison would seem diminished. But, if you give it a chance, you will see that this movie is as a larger than life adventure to awe and entertain everybody. The steelbook presentation is as big a collector's item as the movie. So it is highly recommended to get them both

I am a big Marvel fan as well since 2008's IRON MAN. In this particular movie, it was never "up to" ANT MAN and THE WASP to bring us back from the events of THANOS using the Gauntlet with the INFINITY STONES. That event actually took place at the very end of the movie when ANT MAN himself was in the Quantum Realm. Dr. Pym, his wife, and THE WASP were all on the rooftop when, bam!, SNAP of the Gauntlet took place in RAWANDA where THOR and many of the AVENGERS were, including BLACK PANTHER. It's going to be up to CAPTAIN MARVEL and the rest of the surviving AVENGERS to take on THANOS and devise a plan to go back in time.

Could be awesome with a couple improvements. But..
By Robert from MN
The trackball is very nice and the buttons are okay, but the spinner is pure garbage. It's a hollow plastic thing that you can literally FEEL mechanically bumping a switch to register rotation. If you're familiar with an actual arcade spinner, it's a hefty metal knob connected to a disc with holes, with optical sensors peeking through them. That ain't what you're getting here. Every "bump" or two moves you to the next segment in Tempest; the software is able to animate your thing "crawling", but the spinner device resolution is so poor that it just doesn't happen.
The video resolution is very poor (like, 800x600 or worse, by my visual estimation), which makes for a lot of visible jaggies on the "vector" games. The monitor is roughly 13.25x10.5 inches, so the vertical games have unused real estate on the sides. Tempest, strangely, seems letterboxed on all four sides.
Missile Command and Liberator play pretty well. Quantum is nearly unplayable because the trackball sensitivity is set too low, whereas Centipede and Millipede seem like the trackball sensitivity is set just a bit too HIGH.
Lunar Lander doesn't use either of the available analog controls for thrust, so that leaves you tapping a button to pulse-thrust, which isn't how the arcade machine worked.
Button placement is okay for everything except Gravitar and the two Asteroids games, just because the tractor beam / hyperspace button is "C", NEXT TO the rotation buttons, rather than below them where your thumb could reach.
Sound is pretty good; it's just a single speaker and the volume control is a 3-position switch though, so don't get your hopes up too much.
I haven't assembled the cabinet yet, but there's no way this could be a solid $400 value unless the spinner control was as solid and authentic as the trackball is, and the graphics were at least as good at simulating a vector display as a 15-year-old laptop running MAME can.

Originally made for cable television, this imaginative biopic chronicles the life of Marilyn Monroe (Mira Sorvino), including the years before she changed her name from Norma Jean Baker (Ashley Judd) and was transformed into the screen persona that made her a legendary sex symbol. The movie employs unconventional, dream-like storytelling techniques in which Marilyn and her former self, Norma Jean, frequently appear in scenes together, with Norma Jean often taunting Marilyn for not living up to her earlier aspirations. Many facets of Monroe's life are examined, including her childhood and adolescence when Norma Jean had to live with foster families because of her mother's psychological problems. In addition to referencing Monroe's work on such films as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), The Seven Year Itch (1955), and Some Like It Hot (1959), the movie explores her marriages to baseball great Joe DiMaggio (Peter Dobson) and famous playwright Arthur Miller (David Dukes), and her romances, including her purported relationship with U.S. President John F. Kennedy (Steven Culp). The film also offers a hard-hitting look at Monroe's struggle with drug- and alcohol-dependency.

Great Packaging for a Trilogy!
By KJT4B
Pros: I love it when they put a trilogy or anthology in steelbook packaging, especially a single case like this! As a collector this is huge, as space is a premium on my shelf. Digital copies included is also extremely beneficial for those moments I want to watch on the go or am just too lazy to go get the case and road the player. All in all a great purchase that would recommend.
Cons: This is a constant complaint of mine - typically folks who purchase textbooks are collectors and go out of their way to acquire textbook editions of movies; why can't they 1) make the movie info card cover easier to trim for saving inside the cover? Or 2) make it smaller in the first place so there's no trimming required? They should consciously anticipate their audience for steelbooks: collectors. Second, I was lucky to discover the trilogy coming out in steelbooks so that I waited to purchase this one; otherwise, if I remember right only 2 of the 3 were available as steelbooks at Best Buy... my solution would be for Best Buy to initiate a "Steelbooks Collectors Club" or something, where you could get on a special list and get head's up notifications of future steelbooks, with the option to remind us when something can be pre-ordered.

"No Theatrical Releases in Set"
April 1, 2020
There was NEVER a plan to include those in this set. They are NOT the ones George wanted in the first place after the fact he had the technology to do what he wanted.
If you are so bent on getting the mistake prone, optical effect laden gaffes in the IV, V, VI ones, go for it. Good luck finding a machine that will play them on.
VHS sets out from mid to late 1990s.
Laserdisc sets out from mid to late 1990s.
So rating the entire box a 1 STAR because you're upset it doesn't have those is a joke. You're obviously paying DISNEY more money in the long run for individuals. So, you are giving DISNEY MORE. lol

Not Perfect, but Still Great
By Shawn
This set doesn't include the original theatrical versions of the original trilogy, which is what fans have been truly waiting on, but this set is still the best available so far. 4K audio and video is outstanding for most of the films, with The Phantom Menace having the weakest looking video. The set looks nice and the booklet is also attractive, however sliding the discs in and out of the booklet requires some patience and care. Overall, this is a nice set that is a no brainer for collectors, but it's not quite the ultimate set that many have been looking for.

Overall review of the "Skywalker Saga" 9 movie Set
By 93Vet
Having been a long time fan of the series, starting on the infamous date for all SW fans, 25 May 1977, I was eager to get this set and have all the movies in UHD 4K.
This set does NOT include the SW stories "Solo" and "Rogue One".
I will be getting "Rogue One" separately for the 4K as I have "Solo".
The box itself is decent, it has a leather like feel to it and opens up on the sides to reveal a middle "silver book" that contains all the discs and original artwork from each of the 9 movies.
The movie pages have the 4K and Blu-ray disc housed in their own respective sleeves on the upper right corner and are labeled as such when you remove them. Removing them is a sticking point, but as with anything disc, you have to handle with care. They are a bit tight as this is a new set and I think over time it will loosen a bit for each disc. The outer black case does not line up absolutely on the line, and that is a bit of a disappointment when it comes to the Death Star graphic on the front, but that is a minor thing to me. It's not handmade by Rolls Royce.
The 9 bonus discs are pretty good, but NOT all the material for each movie is in THIS set. There is new material, interviews, etc. for this set mixed with original material brought over from the 2011 9 disc set.
You can find more on the 3 bonus discs that came with that Blu-ray set. Keep those 3 discs if you have it.
Also, the 2004 Star Wars Trilogy "Bonus Material" DVD is exceptional with the vintage IV-VI trilogy content. Has ALL the trailers for those three movies and the EPIC documentary "Empire Of Dreams". That to me, is THE documentary for the original trilogy. This is NOT on this 2020 Box Set.
Some of the vintage trailers are on the bonus discs for IV-VI.
Episode IX does NOT have any deleted/extended scenes on the bonus disc. Why? I don't know. I do believe there is much footage that could have been added here. We get a "Skywalker Saga" documentary, rather it's a behind the scenes 2 hour video mostly about VII-IX with a little bit of footage from IV-VI added in here and there. No mention of Episodes I-III at all.
The plus here for me is the total package, although the disc sleeves may have been better, it doesn't appear they will scratch easily as the material behind it is slick. They are tight on the sides, but I believe over time it will loosen a bit. Handle with care as always. We get all the movies on UHD 4K with newer prints. The original trilogy (IV-VI) has never looked better.
No, it does NOT contain the 1977, 1980, 1983 theatrical releases with all mistakes and film defects inherent in those, even now in later format releases (VHS box sets/1995 THX Laserdisc sets).
You will never see those on a UHD 4K set.
George made it clear many years ago, that the movies that were originally seen on the screen in those years were not the complete vision he had at the time. He couldn't do alot of things he wanted because of the limits of technology at the time. So, he basically had to wait unitl the movie technology caught up.
Even if this set is not the most perfect one, I do like it, but it could have been better overall for content and the placement of discs in the sleeves. Artwork is well done and the artwork on the discs are well done, too. A solid 4 Stars.

You are not going to get the 1977 "version" on 4K or Blu-ray. In fact, this was released in 2004 on DVD, but the quality was atrocious for that format's ability.
The only way you are going to get the '77 version is either through one of the following formats:
The 2004 DVD (official release)
The 1995 THX VHS Trilogy Sets (official release)
The 1995 THX Laserdiscs (official release)
The "Despecialized" version on Manufactured on demand Blu-ray disc (unofficial release)
I do not work for Disney, but I have been a long time fan of the series from the very beginning. I went to the first showing in my City on May 25, 1977. I was 10.

This collection features the wonder of the entire Star Wars saga, capturing the moments from a young Anakin Skywalker's descent into the dark side to the rise of the Resistance and their struggle to restore peace in the galaxy. The story that electrified a generation comes to a striking conclusion.

Excellent Compilation

I didn’t award FIVE stars because Lucas didn’t provide the original, theatrical releases. We get the kiddified Cantina shootout where Greedo fires first and Han fires best. No need for this: once Greedo pointed his blaster at Han, that’s an overt act of aggression and Han acts in self defense when he fires, even when he fires first as in the theatrical release.
For this price point, a lavish, illustrated hard bound book really would have set this piece off. But maybe they’re waiting to fleece us for an 8k version?
On a related note, I would love to see the Star Wars saga updated and re-released in theaters and Blu-Ray. For example, the death of the Death Star should no be so swift. A gigantic moon sized station shouldn’t vaporize but rather split up in big and small pieces. A Death Star meteor shower into Yavin’s moon and stormtrooper bodies and body parts would more convincingly demonstrated the destruction. The Super Star Destroyer, or should we say Stupor Star Destroyer, does nothing in the series. Change that!
But this is an excellent purchase and will entertain for a long time. Buy and slot in Rogue One 4k too.

Greedo fires first?
April 16, 2020
The Cantina scene on the 4K disc did not have Greedo firing first. There was an added scene with Greedo saying a word and then they literally shoot at each other at the same time, with Greedo missing and hitting the wall. This is a new scene added from Greedo. It did not exist in prior releases.

Retrogaming fans and pop-culture enthusiasts have been clamoring for it, and here it is courtesy of Arcade1Up: the Atari Legacy CENTIPEDE Edition home arcade machine, for the first time in a form factor shaped just like the original classic arcade cabinet!

There are misleading images of this unit's screen size when showing Centipede. The game is a vertical game as it should be. However, there are photos of it being squashed or horizontal. Which is it?

Evolving from its 1958 beginnings as an amusement game manufacturer, Midway produced some of the hottest arcade games of the 80s and 90s, that have since been adapted into film, television, and much more.Their monsters-wreaking-havoc title Rampage~was a giant early hit, and then leaps in live action digitizing technology led to Mortal Kombat~, recognized as one of the most important titles in video game history. With it~s over the top darkly humorous gameplay and finishing moves, Mortal Kombat~became an instant franchise with iconic characters and enduring catch phrases.

So, what's the actual date of release now? Arcade 1up had it in March and Best Buy says Dec. 31, 2021. lol There are many of us eagerly awaiting to get this unit when Arcade 1up SAYS and sends an email stating it is READY for Preorder.

Does this come with a deck protector as well? I know the most recent ones have had it, but this does not specify.

will this charge my apple tv remote?

Not sure, but I asked the Best Buy tech on duty and he sold me one similar to this one for my Galaxy 21 phone.
It works well. My advice to you would be to go in person if you can and tell them your question. They should point you to the correct item that will work for you.

Most steelbook editions contain the DVD as well. Do any of these contain the DVD's? And none of the special features are listed. I am particularly interested if the 4k/blu-ray have extra features that the DVD's do not. Thanks for your quick reply. Cathy

No, there is no standard DVD in this one or the newest release with different artwork.

The special features are on the Blu-ray disc itself.
Behind the scenes, gaffes/goof real, etc.
I believe it is the same special features released.

Is this the Director's Cut or Theaterical Cut?

It has BOTH on the 4K disc! So, kudos to Sony for that!

Will this item ever be available to order? I see you all still have thor 1 and 2 on steel book

Your best bet now, Dan, is to find one on Ebay or similar. It has been 5 years now, so it is most likely out of print.

Does this have a sip cover?

It did when it first came out on 4K. I don't think it can be found in the brick-and-mortar stores with one now in 2022, 5 years later.
You may have to go to ebay for one.

Does the movie come with the slipcover in 2022?

Not to my knowledge Ajay. You might have to find one on Ebay. I have seen less and less slipcovers for older movies.

The Terminator returns in this explosive action-adventure spectacle. Now he's one of the good guys, sent back in time to protect John Connor, the boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future. Sarah Connor, John's mother, a quintessential survivor has been institutionalized for her warning of the nuclear holocaust she knows is inevitable. Together, the threesome must find a way to stop the ultimate enemy-the T-1000, the most lethal Terminator ever created.

Does this come with a slipcover

Most of these did when they were first made. Now, I am not sure if you would get one with this purchase.
