Wow! The PB2000 is a BEAST.
Pros: This sub is accurate and not boomy. It hits when it needs to and you don’t have to worry about it being in your face all the time. It is very powerful and can drop below 17hz in a small room. I’ve watch counteless of movies and i keep getting impressed by it.
Cons: Big Sub and you must have space for it.
FYI I own 2 SVS-PB2000 and 2 Definitive Technology SuperCube 2000

This sub is for those who don’t have enough space for big subs. The SuperCube 2000 packs a punch.

Excellent 4K player for disc only
on November 12, 2018

These palaver far exceeds my expectations when playing a 4K disc. The picture and sound quality is amazing.
I bought this player 2 months ago because it has 4K apps like (Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. I like to watch Netflix, so I pay for the 4K Netflix subscription. Now I know that not all content on Netflix is on 4K with Dolby Atmos audio enabled. This players Netflix app only enables 4K picture without enabling Dolby Atmos audio. What a disappointment? Even my Xbox One can enable 4K picture and Dolby Atmos on my Netflix app.
I would only use this player for 4K discs and not for apps. Sony needs to update there apps.

EXCELLENT A/V
By ALEXRIZZA from SAO PAULO, SP
Hi, I'm an owner since 2009 of an YAMAHA A/V RX-V3067 7.2CH which I use with 2 amps Harman Kardon to become a 11.2 ch. I know everything about YAMAHA receiver and I decided to buy a new one with 11.2ch. Since YAMAHA does not have, I tested The Marantz SR8012 (powerfull but I dind't like the visual), DENON AVRX8500H ( to expensive) and thePIONEER SCLX901( which was ok but the sound was amazing) .All these 3 A/V has price over $2.000. So I decided to buy this RX-A3080. About the sound of every speaker: waht a huge difference from the previous V3067, the sound is clear, powerful and you can hear every music note. The setup of GAIN/Q FACTOR/ FREQUENCY for every sepaker is easy ,and the surrounds make a lot of difference. The A1 is a sound state of art . To experience all this features you must have premium speakers. I have 2 YAMAHA bookshelf (180w rms) for front, 4 JBL (110 Wrms) for surrounds), 4 HARMAN KARDON (100w rms) for front speaker presence, 2 YAMAHA (100wrms) for rear speaker presence and 1 CENTER HARMAN KARDON (300w rms). If you want to experience clear sound you must have this YAMAHA RX-A3080

Have you tried using the Surround Sound Decode format on the receiver? If so how do you like? Is the surround sound experience better than the Marantz SR8012?

Lack of technical support
By ChromecastUser from Philadelphia, PA, USA
I have been a great fan of Chromecast since its launch a few years ago and bought three of them (two Gen 1 and one Gen 2) prior to this purchase. I use them primarily for YouTube, Google Play Video/Music, Amazon Music, and Plex Media Server (for my personal collection of FLAC audio files and home videos). Recently I started shooting videos in DCI 4K and storing edited version in HEVC (h.265) at UHD resolution. Even though I have not upgraded to an UHD TV yet - my computer monitors are UHD - I saw the need to get a Chromecast Ultra so that I can avoid transcoding HEVC to h.264 and downscaling on Plex Media Server to feed the regular Chromecast, in addition I would like to transcode my older 1080p videos to HEVC to save storage space and the regular Chromecast cannot decode HEVC. While Chromecast Ultra excels at everything else, it fails miserably with downscaling UHD videos (regardless of h.265 or h.264 CODEC) for display on a 1080p display: the videos are shown in the wrong color space. This issue is specific to UHD videos played on 1080p TVs and monitors, and it impacts only the actual video, if any info (texts, thumbnails, etc) is overlaid on top it is rendered in the right colors, but regardless of what Chromecast-compatible app is used. I reached out to Google for support. Except the original chat session the communication has been one-directional, I have sent them screenshots as well as a sample video file. A week and a half later I have not heard ANYTHING back. My use case, while not the most common, is hardly unreasonable. With that in mind I am surprised this issue was not discovered in their software QA process. I would have stuck with them to work it out, however, if they had followed up, even if a workaround is not yet available. Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is on sale this week. I bought one and it renders UHD video on FHD TVs perfectly. If you are heavily invested in video/music contents from Google Play, then Chromecast is definitely for you, which is why I still recommend the product despite my troubles; otherwise take a close look at the competition - I am glad I did. Knocking one star off for functionality, and another for the poor support experience.

Nice sound, difficulty configuration
By DrDre from Pittsburgh
The sound on this receiver is fantastic. It also has incredible wireless features which is the reason I bought it. The only problem I have is it sometimes switches on after I turn it off and the audio return channel sound which at one point did work now does not and I cannot get it to switch back. I’ve tried everything. I’m not sure what settings were changed to make it not work but it’s very frustrating because it’s one of the reasons I bought this receiver.

HDMI ARC not working = simple fix
June 1, 2019
I own both Pioneer and Onkyo and I've come across this same issue, but i figured out how to fix it. Note: that whenever there is new "software update for your AV," HDMI ARC will disconnect and or not work. Whenever HDMI ARC isn't working (outputting audio from your TV), follow this steps.
Step 1: Make sure that Your TV and AV Receiver are both Powered on and that your TV's input is on TV.
Step 2: Unplug Your Receivers Power Cord for 2 minutes and then plug it back in. (this would do a basic reset and you will notice that your AV stayed on)
if you follow these steps HDMI ARC should be up and running.
IF steps 1 & 2 didn't solve the problem go on to step 3.
Step 3: In your AV Settings Deactivate HDMI ARC and Turn it back on.
After this you shouldn't have any more issues.
Sometimes HDMI Arc doesn't work bc there is a delay and you'll notice that your AV didn't power on. If this happens simply change the Input selection on your TV 2 or 3 times and AV should power on.

The ultimate 3D surround experience that will blow you away. You~ve never heard anything like the JBL BAR 1300X~in your living room or anywhere else. More than just a great soundbar, it~s a full sound system. It features MultiBeam and six up-firing drivers~four in the bar and two in the detachable battery-powered surround speakers~that deliver massive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D surround sound, centering you in your music, movies, and games. 1170W of total output power and thrilling bass from a 12~ subwoofer is more than enough to make the room shake. Though, you~ll never miss a word with due to our PureVoice technology, which makes sure the dialogue is clear even when other sounds are at their loudest. When you want to enjoy your favorite tunes choose streaming via either AirPlay, Alexa Multiroom Music (MRM), or Chromecast built-in that give you over 300 music streaming options. But that~s not all. Your choices are as unlimited as you are because you can also pair the soundbar to your Bluetooth device. You can even take one of the detachable speakers (or both for powerful stereo sound) out to your kitchen or patio and enjoy listening to your favorite music or podcast there.

Dude you have the soundbar mounted on the wall wrong. You need to rotate it upward. You have your Atmos speakers facing forward rather than up to the ceiling and your front speakers are facing downward

whats the warranty on this

2 years parts
2 years labor
I recommend getting Extended warranty bc it is cheap, you can get up to 4 years of coverage and it covers surges. Manufacturers don't cover surges.
