Bought this to substitute for the rubber band", which was difficult to secure and also "sweaty". THIS band is easy to use and quickly affixed and adjusted.
My only caveat is the 'magnetic catch"...it MAY comprise magnetically sensitive items, such as credit cards, hotel room keys, "floppy discs" (OK..I'm "vintage"). Other than that, it is comfortable, easy to use, and durable.
I really don't see the clasp as a "detriment", but more of a "consideration".
