Considering how great and well reviewed the 3D was in the first Spider-Verse movie, it’s extremely sad that this got no 3D release anywhere! That 3D-bias aside, this is excellent! It sounds great! Visually, it’s a fantastic, artistic achievement! I know some people who don’t like multiverse stories, but I’d think that everyone else (and even them, if they’d give it a chance) would love this! Powerfully emotional scene with plenty of humor and Spidey/Multiverse action and craziness! These Spider-Verse movies are the very best of Spider-Man! Also, I only occasionally get steelbooks, but this one was too good to pass up (though I would’ve if it hadn’t been in beautiful 4K UHD)!

3D is definitely the way to see this. Too bad they stopped making the TVs, so I’ll be keeping my old 3D until it stops working. At least , projection TVs are still doing 3D. The underwater work looks amazing. There isn’t a single moment that looks fake! The plot is quite good, though I wish the old bad guy, who died in the first movie, wasn’t brought back. I suppose it’s a bit on the long side, but the pacing was mostly good. Looking forward to the next.

This thing is extremely fast (which can’t be said of my WiFi connection. It does get pretty warm after a while, but that appears to be the norm in this and other similar drives and review of others who have had it for a while are reassuring as far as longevity. It made its connection quickly on my MacBook Pro with M1. It’s pretty compact, but can’t help but wish for even smaller in the future. While I’m wishing: Just as fast, but wireless, would be nice, too. Anyway, expensive but worth it if your situation demands extra high speeds!

This was a big Disney bomb, but I got it and enjoyed this “family” adventure! There’s an interesting revelation that comes toward the end that caused me to want to rewatch, but some may not like (don’t want to give away too much). There were some scenes with a ridiculously, impressively huge amount of “things” moving all at once, which was one of the topics explored in the disc’s special features (tech stuff that some will find more of interest than others). Very nice looking steel book, with a better image than the “standard” 4K, for what it’s worth.

If you dislike darkly humorous movies about WWII Germany (Inglorious Ba——, Life Is Beautiful), this movie is probably not for you. For the first part of the movie, we’re introduced to a young boy who’s an aspiring Hitler youth who has a certain Adolf as his imaginary friend. After a while, I started thinking that this couldn’t stay like this for over 2 hours! Well, don’t worry, it doesn’t! New elements are introduced ( I won’t say what) that bring a new angle into the situation. We get some really amusing moments mixed with some highly emotional ones (at least one that’s gut wrenching) in a creative movie like no other (with plenty of excellent actors). My guess: There won’t be a sequel. If I could, I’d give this 4.5 stars, but comes highly recommended for anyone who can go for the darker humor I mentioned earlier.

Big Pain Getting Started, But Worth It!

Well, I suppose this is a different sorta review:
WARNING: If you don't have access to WiFi, don't even THINK of getting this beautiful thing, because you won't even be able to get beyond turning it on! Nope, Personal Hotspot won't work. Well, apparently, if you somehow have a really fast Hotspot (try really late at night), it may actually, slowly but surely, do its thing.
Aside from that time wasting pain in the butt, it now seem to be working well. Lighter than I thought it would be, which is good. Oh! No camera light on the back side! Guess I won't be using it as a flashlight.
Everything looks really good and, for what they are, the speakers are pretty darned decent.
Getting tired of everything requiring WiFi nowadays, just to be able to turn it on! Yes, I'm out in the boonies and may have to break down and pay some big bucks for decent WiFI. Dang!
I'm actually liking it and probably would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't been for that initial surprise ... well, and the surprise of no flash on the back (there's a light for selfies, though).
Oh! And I've gotten kind of used to face detection on my iPhone, so it's kinda weird not having it ... though the fingerprint reading works fine (some may even prefer it).
Would I do it all over again? YES! ... but it certainly would have been nice to know ahead of time what I was getting myself into when I first tried to get things started.
Don't forget: A fast enough Hotspot may do it for you ... slowly ... veeerrrryyy slllooowwwlllyyy.
Well, that's definitely over fifty letters!

Dang! Asked Best Buy folks quite a few questions before buying this, and some of what I said should have made it kind of apparent that I probably didn’t have Wi-Fi out here in the boonies. So, bought it and tried setting up for quite a while before finding out the problem: Need actual Wi-Fi and “Personal Hotspot” won’t cut it! From what I can tell, based on sounds during attempted setup, the bass is rather impressive for such a small speaker. Think I would have loved it but, sadly, I ended up returning it. Didn’t give a really low score because it wasn’t the product’s fault. :-(

Movie is great, but they really should have tried to put it on one disc. Also I don't understand why the 4K version came with the lenticolor 3D slip, and the actual 3D Blu-ray movie didn't?
Overall though I'm really happy that they released this I hope they start releasing more Blu-ray 3DS. Because that market is hot all of the big projectors have 3D and 3D TVs stop being made in 2017 are still being brought up on the second hand market. Not to mention virtual reality all throws 3D. So keep it up Disney and fox don't make us have to search the black market for this stuff.

I thought the 4K lenticular slip was a Walmart limited exclusive. Just glad that, despite the fact that it’s been several years since they stopped making 3D TVs, this came out in 3D! It looks great!

Oops! Forgot to mention one thing: This was my first time seeing it and went in not knowing it ended with “TO BE CONTINUED!” So, this suddenly stops mid-story! Apparently, the second part would have come out next March, but since voice acting wasn’t completed, strikes will delay the conclusion for an unknown amount of time! Dang!
