Only one Batman cameo?!?!?! SMH

This is a movie made from bits and pieces of various Warner Brothers IP's smashed together, much like Space Jam 2. Unlike Space Jam 2, it foretells mankind's inevitable migration to the Metaverse. If you like *80-90's pop culture reference* it's in this movie.

Etherborn is a surreal puzzle experience, in which players traverse warping and shifting environments ~ challenging preconceptions of space and gravity. Their avatar, a curiously translucent creation, is able to adhere to surfaces that twist and flip in bizarre ways. Solving puzzles becomes an exercise in learning how to adjust perceptions while exploring this strange and beautiful world.

Etherborn is a gravity-based platformer/puzzler with an emphasis on exploration. At its best, it evokes hints of games like Mario galaxy; at it's worst it's a little janky in the physics department and a little confusing when it comes to finding your way through. It also has a nebulous new-agey aesthetic, which may or a may not increase your overall milage. Solid three stars.

If you are watching this movie, the answer is "you!" I would put more effort into this review, but you probably know whether or not you're going to like a movie about the disputes of a gigantic radioactive lizard and an oversized monkey.

Apparently I like games where you eat people. This is a game where you're a shark, and you munch beachgoers (and fish) and evolve into a bigger nastier shark. It's like a gorier, more violent version of Odell Lake for the Apple II. Also, the game is framed like a nature documentary with Chris Parnell as the host. That was a nice surprise.

It's a fun, functional, three-player co-op Aliens game. Had a blast playing with my online friends. Would have liked a single player campaign, but with the history of aliens games (Isolation being a sole stand-out) this is enough. That'll do, pig. That'll do.

If you're not familiar with the Dark Pictures Anthology series, they're horror games that play like choose your own adventure movies. This one involves a group of soldiers that run into some vampires during the Iraq war. OR DID THEY? DUN DUN DUUUUN... Definitely fun for some, but probably not for serious gamers. If you mainline Mtn Dew Game Fuel and shave yourself hairless every day with your Gillette Gamer Fusion Power razor, you might not enjoy this. Or you might. I don't know you.

My life as a tentacled horror...

An amazing metroid-vania where you play as a pulsating mass of teeth and tentacles. Evolve your monster and escape the facility where you're being held, and don't forget to munch some scientists and security guards along the way. It would benefit from having an in-game map, but I suppose if you're a bitey slime-monster, you wouldn't have one of those anyway. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the free DLC!

Captures the frantic run-and-gun rogue-like survival gameplay of the first installment in an all-new 3-d third person shooter style. It's a blast to play but may take some getting used to for both fans of the original and newcomers alike.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse ~ Earthblood offers a unique experience full of savage combat and mystical adventures, inspired by the famous role-playing game. You are Cahal, a powerful Garou who chose to go into exile after losing control of his destructive rage. You must master the three forms and powers of human, wolf, and the giant ferocious beast Crinos to punish those who defile Gaia, Mother Earth. Each form has its advantages: the wolf can sneak around undetected, Cahal as a human can interact with other people, and the werewolf can unleash is rage to tear enemies apart. This rage is your greatest asset, but also your weakness ~ if you don~t contain it, it can destroy you once again. On your quest for redemption and blood, you will play a crucial role in the great war between the Garou and Endron, a powerful oil company that serves the Wyrm, a destructive spirit ravaging the planet.

I wish it could transform into a better game...

I'll be 100% honest, when I was a teenager I was really into the 'Werewolf the Apocalypse" tabletop RPG, so I'm a little biased. This is a kind of fun, but severely unpolished game. If you were to pretend that this was a direct port from a late PS2 early PS3 game, it might be good. It is missing a lot of small tweaks, like death/fail animations, or stealth kill animations for your wolf (form). For some reason, it has horrendous load times for a game that is graphically not that amazing (running on a PS4Pro, this may not be an issue for the PS5 crowd). It also is more of an action game than an action RPG; It would have been cool to pick your character's attributes tribe etc.
I'd "cautiously recommend" this title to die-hard fans of the property, noting that it is a very stripped-down and rough experience.
