After moving, we unexpectedly had to buy a new washing machine. After some research and talking with repairmen, we decided to purchase an LG Washing Machine. Not wanting to spend thousands of dollars, I was looking for simple and inexpensive. There are machines that can do your taxes! This machine does everything that we expected and more... but we don't even use the wifi feature. My only complaint would be the control panel. Not sure why LG didn't backlight the settings. Seriously, the words are barely visible. I read the reviews before purchasing so I knew to expect it. Other than that, "So far.... so good.

After watching again and realizing its been 20 years since its release, still a four star rockem sockem pg-13 flick. Could have been way more violent but is lighthearted and fun for such a violent franchise.
Dont bother watching the 1997 sequel as it will waste your money, time, and brain cells. The Annihilation movie should not been released that is how bad it really is. It takes camp to the next level, terrible transition/continuation between the movies..etc

One of the greatest films of all time

Little about me. I absolutely love movies. I had heard so much praise about this film for my entire life. Part of me avoided seeing this movie, worried that it would not live up to the incredible amount of love it receives in so many movie conversations. After watching it tonight, I can honestly say it's as great as they say. Again, I love movies. Especially dramas that can weave their way into your heart, and deeply change the way you see the world. This film impacted me so hard on so many levels. Besides the brilliant script, and the beautifully realized technicalities of the filmmaking, The Shawshank Redemption speaks volumes about friendship, freedom, and society. A must watch. Will definitely revisit this film in the years to come.

An early marvel movie entrant

Ang Lee's 2003 take on the Hulk was an ambitious, but ultimately flawed, adaptation of the classic Marvel character that managed to somewhat capture the tragedy of the character, but proved supremely underwhelming in delivering the action goods. With this reboot directed by Louis Letterrier (Transporter 2, Unleashed), the Hulk gets a fresh start, and it's all the better for it. The Incredible Hulk stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, who has managed to evade capture by living in Brazil for the past few years, and keeping his monstrous alter-ego at bay as well. A search for a possible cure brings Bruce out of hiding, as his nemesis General Ross (William Hurt) employs spook agent Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) to bring Banner in, by any means necessary, even if it means turning Blonsky into some sort of Abomination (I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself). With loads of odes to the comic and even more to the classic 70's series, The Incredible Hulk delivers in terms of action and excitement, and even manages to pull out some surprises as well. The only real flaws of The Incredible Hulk are some plot-holes in the story and the mis-casting of a stale Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, but that aside, this film still makes up for the Ang Lee mis-fire. Also starring Tim Blake Nelson and Ty Burrell as some important supporting players in Hulk lore, and featuring an ending that will send fanboys in an uproar, The Incredible Hulk truly is a smashing and entertaining good time. All in all, it's nice to finally have the Hulk movie that we wanted and deserved, and longtime fans of comic should definitely enjoy it.

Barry Seal (Tom Cruise) pretty much lived large for a spell in the late Seventies through the early Eighties. He had pretty much everything which included wealth and the love of an extremely hot woman. His hand was in many pies some legal, some illegal, and some questionably legal. It wasn't so much the wealth, sex, and rock 'n' roll that Barry craved but the shear adrenaline rush of the chase. Many accomplices to his activities would include President Ronald Reagan, then Governor of Arkansas Bill Clinton, to his no-account white trash brother-in-law. His inevitable downfall was a classic case of overreach. But what a thrill ride! Cruise plays Seal with equal parts brio and relish. He really seems engaged and having fun with this part and it shows. Best I've seen him in years. Doug Liman directs the film at a dizzying breakneck pace not unlike his previous collaboration with Cruise, "Edge of Tomorrow". Flick flew under my radar on initial release. Don't make the same mistake.

My first anime watched..

Easily one of the best anime films ever. Truly a classic. I personally prefer the Japanese version with English subtitles...English dubbed Jubei sounds artificial. Either way, a must buy/see for any fan of anime. Ninja Scroll is one of my favorite animes and animated features period. It's typically grouped among the "big three" of anime, together with Ghost in the Shell and Akira, but in my opinion is far above the others. Not to overblow it mind you, this is merely an action/adventure flick, but amongst the best of its class, up there with things like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, etc. Many anime enthusiasts are unaware of Ninja Scroll or underrate its greatness.

Old Fashioned Melodrama At Its Best

This tearjerker involving a custody battle over an orphaned child prodigy could have been cloying and manipulative but thanks to a smart and intuitive script by Tom Flynn it avoids the potential traps of the form. This is not to say we don't have a rooting interest here but Flynn invests the combatants with depth and complexity that by the film's conclusion we are not left with any convenient heroes or villains. The film works as well because the ensemble is universally excellent. The heart of the film, though, would be the performance of McKenna Grace as Mary Adler, the pint-sized math wizard. Grace invests Mary with wit, toughness, precociousness, and an indomitable spirit that belies her tender years. Grace draws you into the tug-of-war involving not only Mary's fate but wellbeing that is genuinely heartbreaking. It's easy to dismiss a film of this nature but it would be advised to throw all inhibitions into the proverbial dustbin. A film that recalls the spirit of Douglas Sirk.

I can finally wireless scan!

I don't print very often and I never fax, but I have been looking for a wireless sheet-feed scanner and this seemed like a good way to handle that need while covering my occasional printing needs. So far I'm pretty impressed with it. It was fairly easy to set up for printing, but when I tried to scan remotely from my computer I was told that I needed to download additional software, but was not directed to where that software might be. I searched the HP site for the Easy Scan app to no avail. I finally searched Google and found it on the iTunes store. Once I downloaded and installed it I was able to scan easily by controlling the scanner in my guest room wirelessly from my laptop in the living room. I also downloaded the scanning app for my iPhone and was able to manage the scanner from that as well. My office is my living room so I don't want a bunch of office equipment sitting around everywhere. With this machine I can keep the printer, scanner, fax (does anybody fax anymore?) machine out of sight but still have it on standby when I need it. In the past I would have to dig the scanner out of the closet, plug it in to my laptop and leave it on the coffee table for the duration of it's use. Now the scanner is available anytime I need it without cluttering up the living room and I can put a stack of docs into it, walk away and manage the scan from the other room. Perfect!
I also like the ability to print from anywhere using the iPhone app. When I come home anything I've printed is sitting on the printer waiting for me. Cool. The only thing that I don't love about this all-in-one is that the ink cartridges seem kind of pricey. I think they price them higher so you'll be motivated to join their auto-ordering scheme (basically your printer rats you out to HP whenever the cartridges start getting low.) They pretend that there's a terrific discount through this program, but they seem to be hiking up the prices so they can appear to discount them to a fair retail price. Welcome to the new subscription-based economy! Other than that this is a very practical all-in-one device.

When will the Sony 77 A95L be available to preorder and purchase?
Best Buy was late on the preorder and then just put it up for sale a week ago. It was only there for a couple of days. I was so tempted to bite. Many were able to snag one before they closed the gap. The street date was supposed to be Oct 10. Im waiting for the first price drop before splurging.
