Well, I saw both movies and have to say the second overboard was just as entertaining as the first-contrary to the negative reviews. What made it humorous was the inclusion of a Spanish twist throughout the movie. Most of the humor was not as funny in English as how it was received in Spanish. The big difference was the plot reversal with Engenio Derbez playing the role of Goldie Hawn and the kids were girls not boys. I liked it.

A different experience than the first, but good

The first Sicario was a sleeper hit for me. I walked into the theater with minimal knowledge of the film, not having even seen a trailer. My wife and I had decided to go see a movie, but had nothing we were really looking forward to at the time. We looked at what was playing, read a spoiler free bare-bones synopsis of Sicario, and opted to go see it on a whim. The cast was ridiculous so we figured it would be good. I ended up being beyond blown away by it. It is easily one of my favorite films now.
With that said, Day of the Saldado is not quite as good as the first Sicario. Denis Villeneuve not returning as the director feels like it is 90% of the reason for this. The pacing is not quite as well handled. Instead of artfully and steadily building into a fantastically violent crescendo, it rises and falls at times. Consequently, the experience is a little less "edge of your seat" than the first. Also, without something to fill the void of the unusual perspective switch from the first, Day of the Saldado feels a little less unique and more like a straight forward dramatic action film. The final conflict/resolution, while somewhat subversive, is not ultimately as satisfying as it was in the first either.
With all of that said, it is still and excellent film. While Villeneuve did not return to direct, the original writer of the first film did. Consequently, the story and premises themselves are actually very clever and original. As to be expected, Brolin and Del Toro both turn in tight performances. As does basically the entire cast.
Ultimately, while it is not quite as well done as the first, it is still an excellent film. Well worth spending the $$$ to see in my opinion.

Real indians in a believable story!

I loved the production and acting; Christian Bale pulled off the part perfectly...and they left most if not all of their peculiar political views out of most of it while capturing many real sentiments of the time. Wes Studi made the whole storyline real and with feeling. Years ago a dear friend of mine, Chief Eddie Little Sky, deceased, of the Lakota Nation, set out to become a 'real' Indian actor in a business that in the 50's was just as glad to use Pacific Islanders instead for the parts in such films as this. Wes Studi has accomplished what my old friend could not; recognition and an actual livelihood from the Motion Picture Industry!

Best Marvel installment to date

This movie is the darkest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and the most epic in terms of scope and the threat that harms the world. This movie is not only a great movie, but a monumnental achievement and testament to Marvel's ability to realize its incredible vision. After 10 years and 19 movies Marvel has clearly shown that they know how to bring in hardcore and casual fans to the movies to see heroes dressed up in tights and saving the world. If you have been following this series and have watched most to all of the previous 18 MCU, this is a very satisfying payoff movie as it follows most of the heroes in the MCU. The Russos really outdid themselves, and through incredible editing and story telling they managed to tell a cohesive story that juggled numerous characters.
Though there were so many characters in this movie, the movie gave most of the characters great moments. The standouts were probably Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Josh Brolin as Thanos. You believed their relationship as daughter and father respectively and you felt the emotional consequences of their relationship and what that relationship entailed. This was also Thanos' movie. He is without a doubt, my favorite villain in the MCU now and he is up there with Jordan's Killmonger, Hiddleston's Loki, and Keaton's Vulture. Brolin exudes such confidence, ferocity, and charisma in his performance that he sells the fact that he really believes what he is doing is right no matter how evil he seemed. I actually found myself agreeing with some of Thanos' reasonings at some points of the movie.
This was an unconventional narrative driven movie. It truly stands as a monument to Marvel's ability to deliver a different and unconventional comic book movie experience, and many studios will come to look at this as a paragon of how to do a payoff movie in a series. Many may even compare this to "Lord of the Rings: Two Towers" (2002), or "Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back" (1980) in its structure, but I believe this movie even stands apart from those movies. The only drawbacks that I saw was the fact that if this was your first MCU movie you will have no idea who the characters were and will be lost when watching this movie. Also, because there are so many characters in the movie some major characters don't get a chance to show up and get more moments, but I expected this going in. Truly, not only a great comic book movie, but an incredible movie watching experience.

I mean know what you're getting yourself into watching something like this.
Is it cheesy? Yes. Is the script and plot predictable? Absolutely. Is it still a lot of fun to watch? You betcha!
Here's the thing, most movies coming out of Hollywood are average at best and it's all been done over and over again. Rarely are you going to watch a movie today that's truly a classic. So, at the end of the day it comes down to a few things:
1. Is it visually stimulating?
2. Is it immersive?
3. Are the actors enjoyable?
4. Did I enjoy watching the movie?
5. Did it pass time well?

The answer to all five for me was an emphatic yes. In the end, while not a great actor in a traditional sense, The Rock is pretty much always entertaining and this movie was more or less a feel good, happy ending that you saw coming but there was enough tension and plot to make it interesting at all times.
Watch it, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it!

Going to be honest, here, I have no idea what some of the reviewers thought they were going to see. It's a Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson movie, of course there are going to be swears, violence, one liners and one ups. Have you never seen anything they've ever been in?
I loved the movie, it was exactly what I was expecting from the cast: a reasonable action comedy with plenty of action scenes. The characters grow during the course of the movie (Reynold's character in particular), and there is a plausible (for an action flick) ending. Not much more you could ask for, here.
Its an action flick. If you don't like action flicks, you won't like it.
Its a Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson movie. If curses get you in a tizzy, don't watch it.
Its got comedy. If silly slapstick comedy bothers you, you won't enjoy it.

Great graphics in 4k

Although I’ve only owned and played this game for a couple of hours since being delivered I’m totally in love with Lara again.
The game install is 20Gb and the update required at launch is 7 GB. It took some time as I eagerly waited to play the game.
Controls are nice and smooth and if you’ve ever played Tomb Raider will be familiar to you.
I’m playing on 65 inch 4K LG and it is like watching a movie. The fluidity of this game is amazing.
The only down side so far is there are a lot of cut scenes. Not quite worth losing a star over, but pretty dang close.

I love the Assassins Creed series and never had a problem with yearly releases and don't care about similarities between the new release and past titles as every entry is beautifully done and gives a window into the culture they are indulging themselves in.
I had really wanted an ancient China scenario with some martial arts and was not very excited about a journey to Greece but after playing for 10 hours I will say easily this is graphically the most beautiful in the series and the story is very engaging. More combat focused than previous titles which is a nice change. The RPG element is also a nice addition and the franchise continues to grow and evolve.

When will the Sony 77 A95L be available to preorder and purchase?
Best Buy was late on the preorder and then just put it up for sale a week ago. It was only there for a couple of days. I was so tempted to bite. Many were able to snag one before they closed the gap. The street date was supposed to be Oct 10. Im waiting for the first price drop before splurging.
