Aug4, 2022 ~130pm, i picked up my yamaha YAS-109 at princeton,nj bestbuy, .. no one else was there for pickup but me,, and when the staff went back to get it,, while waiting,, i hear a loud bang and crash in the back ..
and i immediately thought is that my package and wondered ,, will i now get a dented box and sure enough it was , as seen in my posted photo ..
this is essentially a lightweight package as a soundbar, and wonder that a simple drop ,, would could cause such a dent in the corner of the box .. and because of the stiff foam protection, it takes a lot of force to make that kind of dent ..
however,, of course,, i have absolutely no proof it was done on purpose ,, it is just that it happened as i was there to pick it up ..
but i bet bestbuy has video of what goes on in that back room area ,, that will show exactly what happened .. but i just am wondering ..
so when i got home ,, i made a video ,, as i opened the box and the yamaha soundbar shows no damage,, and when i hooked it up ,, it seem to be working fine as of now ..
if not for this pickup situation ,, i would have written a more comprehensive review of this soundbar ..

i got this to replace my 1980's harmon kardon that has everything sounding like it is in a box echo bass chamber ... hard to understand voice and got sick and tired of it ... . but no more with my new r1280t ... and for the price too even though not on sale ..
i decide on this for 2 speakers setup and amp ,, i wanted quality highs and clear voices .. and not for loud blow you away thunder bass .. since i would use my stereo system for that .. i like to also thank all other reviewers here writing .. great sound and clarity .. .
when i first hooked up to my windows11 pc ,, it donna work?? .. ha ,, i had to make pc reload the sound driver to recognize this as a high quality sound system and reboot .. and then all evening i was listening to youtube videos of music ,, classical to rock and singing .. all totally enjoyed .. at medium levels.. and will not play to blow out your doors ..

as you can see in my photo , i mounted it upside down in my car .. as i donna mount anything to my windshield .. so this is my very first escort and buying on sale. . to see how good it does compared to my cheepie whister that cost $40 that you see in my photo too ..
i was not impress as for comparison , and i had many before,, cheep and expensive ones using radar detectors for decades ,, and understand limitation and performance .. but being more , way more costly than a cheepie ,, they both essentially do the same .. and provide the same warning .. the escort may be a little better in certain situations and features ,, but that is expected for what you pay .. and if you want to pay more ,, that is up to you ..
but if you want just a warning and not Mr. speed racer to avoid a ticket,, you need to get one of these ,, and it has saved me many times ,, the local nj towns will set up anywhere on local roads at different places and times
if you are a speed demon and expect this to save your but ... a radar detector is not your answer .. .go to race track and speed ..

i used this to create a backup of the original M.2 ssd boot drive on a new pc .. using the free samsung backup software was easy and simple ,, and if i remember ,,took less than 10 minutes..
i now unplugged it ,, leaving it inside the desktop for future needs ,, and will create new backups as typical when you use the pc over time .. or if the original M.2 fails ..
and when booting with this slower samsung ssd,, i perceive no difference in startup time and performance compare to the faster M.2 .. unless you are a nitpit-er and do performance testing to complain ...

if you connect this from a pc hdmi out to a vga monitor input ,, it works exactly as stated and described ... . .there is a single one direction chip that the hdmi digital output is changed to analog ..
beware ,,, it does not work the opposite way ,, as other reviewer comments has stated ..
and i am guessing ,,, if your device output hdmi does not work ,, it may be the resolution is too high for the analog vga monitor

i got this for the purpose of doing macro shooting ,, with a tripod and mounted led lights on it ,, but it does not just fit on the tripod with the camera attached ,,, ,, that i need to modify the plate somehow ,, but not figured that out yet .. but again ,, notta ina rush to ..
if the round plate was just a 1/4" larger diameter ,, it wooda been purrrfect
this is my alternative to spending big bucks for a macro light ring or brand name macro light ...that cost millionzillions of bucks

decade ago , , i watched on this cable tv ,, and found the story facinating at the time . so for years now i been hoping to see reruns .. but no cable anymore .. made me buy this ..
but now having this and watching all ,, i barely remember scenes and then i say , yes i remember now , also realizing better the storyline .. as it has sat deep in my id ..so i enjoyed the whole like new . . and the ability to pause scenes to see and appreciate details that you just donna see in real time ..
i thought there were more episodes than in this package ,, but ... i was also really disappointed this did not run for a few seasons .. BSG is my next binge watching now ..

Not for beginners confusing options in the menu it may be the same with the mark III? You really have to know what each thing does or what it doesn't do, it maybe easier for someone who has worked with pro level cameras before? color is not the same as most canons (lighter not as vibrant) and that is one thing I wish they didn't change cause I loved canon's color .It was said in a review you rarely miss shots with it , I found I miss just as many shots as I do with my 6D and my T6i and that is using a center focus point, I also used the auto focus and moved focus points and it missed shots. I think people would be better off with the mark iii until the price drops on the IV unless you feel you need the extra MP's and it would be worth it to you paying the higher price. It's not a terrible camera but not worth the high price tag in my opinion.

I was searching for a remote control to do some self-shoots with my husband. Technically this works, but you must point the remote directly to the IR sensor of the camera, otherwise it will not be recognized. If you don't want to have the remote in all your pictures you will (depending on your camera) possibly need a firmware update or add-on to get a delay between pressing the button and the actual photo.
The biggest issue I had was finding out which cameras are working with the remote control. The internet isn't helpful at all and even the QR code on the package itself leads into nowhere. I can at least tell that it works with my (old old) Canon EOS 500d.
So, with some minus points still a working accessoire.

it looks like you are doing a first time ota tv antenna , either indoor or outdoor ,, you may need to point your antenna to transmitting tower .. and get a signal ,, if weak , then the amp will boost the signals .. if you have no signal the amp will do nothing ..

if you can spend $2k lens with $400 camera ,, i would recommend getting a bridge camera like a nikon p1000 or p500 series ..
and have way more of a camera setup for your experience level to use and save you at least $1000 ...
if you just a lens recommendation , i see bestbuy has the Sigma 8-16mm as a better match for you level and camera ,, to just answer your question which is for the wide angle view and auto ..and save you about $1300 .. .
