Fun monster flick + humor of the Rock

There isn't much to say about this film that you can't get from the trailers. It isn't deep, it isn't overly plotted, and it isn't going to move you emotionally much beyond the melodrama of the moment. But what it DOES have is fun action. Evil military science experiments result in giant critters going nuts in populated areas. Ensue chaos and much destruction. People COULD lose their lives but...no! wait! the ROCK is here. He (and his giant gorilla, George) will save us. AWESOME!
[Actually, George IS awesome and the end is one of those melodramatic moments which may just bring a tear to your eye...no spoilers here, tho']
The blu-ray is top notch picture and sound quality, as WB releases tend to be so the best thing to do is pop some corn, sit down in a comfy chair and crank up the volume. Rampage is best experienced with audial and visual cues cranked up. Fun movie - will it win awards? Naaaaa...except the "most fun movie night selection in a while" award. Which, at the end of the day, is what we want, right?
Highly Recommended!

Not classics, but funny as heck

The new Mickey Mouse shorts modernize the little rodent but take inspiration from his early days where he was a mischevious rascal, and that best describes the tone of these shorts. The longer specials maintain the tone, but suffers bit in the madcap slapstick humor timing that the shorter shorts excel at. Al and all, though ,these are fun and new holiday traditions to go along the more classic ones. Highly recommended.

Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the Earth, EARLY MAN tells the story of Dug, a caveman and his trusty side-hog Hognob as they unite the tribe against a new enemy to save their home.

Competent, but not spectacular, stop motion film

Certainly not bad, and cute and funny in places, but not as witty or well plotted as Arthur Christmas or Chicken Run, predecessors from this studio. Still, stop motion is nearly a lost art form and there are many worse movies that are animated being put out there so supporting this is not a bad way to spend two hours give or take. Recommended.

Restored classic and modern Mickey shorts on blu day, this is awesome. These shorts are the foundation of modern animation and while it’s a saturated market, we shouldn’t ignore or forget the classics that got us to this point. Great price for content and highly recommended.

Fun family movie

Great film for fun Halloween viewing that is age appropriate. Teens won’t find any intense scares or gore, but everyone else will have a good time with the fun, colorful antics of witches viewed theough the Disney lens. Family movie night for less than five bucks, can’t beat it!

Is the blu ray that comes with this the theatrical cut ?

No, there are two blu rays in this set. One is the EXTENDED cut of Superman the Movie, which is the 3 hour ABC tv edit that aired over two nights in 1982. The second is the SPECIAL EDITION of Superman the Movie. This was created in 2000 in response to a trend in Hollywood at the time attempting to replicate the success of the Star Wars Special Edition edits from 1997. Richard Donner did work with the production team for this, although it isn’t what appeared theatrically in 1978. Audio and visual effects are added and/or updated. There is also new footage added.

Does the 4K movie come with the digital code?

The 4K version of Superman the Movie is the theatrical cut and comes with a digital code (if slipcover is on the product…WB is known to remove digital codes on subsequent releases where the slipcover is not issued, which is why WB product only shows digital codes on the outside o ring and not on the case artwork itself). Superman the Movie was a catalog title, so still available with its o ring. One more caveat…the digital code did have an expiration of 12/31/20 so it may or may not be active still…
