Buggy is an understatement

Great concept - except that Netgear brought this version of the Orbi Mesh to market too soon. The Parental Controls, Security and other features that you see when you visit the Apple App Store to download the app??? They DO NOT EXIST - and there is no clear time line for when they will appear. Netgear support said 2 to 3 weeks possible on one call, and on another that there was a no projected date.
But it goes down hill from there. I have a web server and run my own email server - no real issue setting up port forwarding, but reliability is another thing.
With only about 4 products on the Orbi network things seemed fine, but when I migrated the house they got bad.
Devices on ethernet started to have issues reliably connecting to mail, and the Router started to blink Purple from time to time (that means it is having a problem). Resetting it worked - but only for a little while and then problems again.
My iPhone 11 which had been the original test device started to have issues just opening USATODAY, and if I was in one story and hit backup, the whole app would freeze or reset to the top of the main page.
The web based login (Orbilogin.com) hates Safari - if there is any significant change it wants to reset the access password, annoying to say the least. You can resolve this by blowing away the history every time you make an update, but that is a bit extreme as well as annoying. Firefox was a better option for configuration.
But the real issue seemed to be that with some 60+ devices connected it had issues - on the nice side, you only have to specify one SSID, and it will auto detect and share for old devices and new ones. This is pretty important if you have a lot of WEMO switches and Hue devices, not to mention Nest - smoke detectors and thermostats.
I thought I would simply wait out the firmware update and App update, but less than a day into the full migration my email on my primary system (iMac Pro 2019 maxed version) started to fail. Exact same settings on my MacBook Pro 2018 were fine. But access to websites was hit and miss, as well as the Purple Light.
For a few hours the system also had a mysterious Satellite - under the legitimate one that came in the box was another - XEROX CORPORATION ... MAC address 00:00:00:00:00:00... Wired... Orbi Router... GOOD
I don't have anything from XEROX and never have. I rest the Router and the Satellite a few times - but it continued to show up. Then it changed status to disconnected and let me delete it. Odd to say the least.
So great idea and fun speed with just the iPhone 11, but disaster for a home/office network.
Netgear support recommended the Nighthawk - but also admitted that it was slower.

Fantastic, lesser known stories from Disney

The antics of Toad are simply delightful, but Ichabod is the quintessential Halloween story from when I was a kid. I have loved these two stories since I first saw them - and now that they are out in HD, so much fun to see again and share.
The Adventures of Mr. Toad still exists as a ride in Disneyland, but sadly was replaced at WDW - a bust of Toad now is on the hill near the Haunted Mansions in the pet graveyard....

Great Movie - well worth it

Robbin Williams set a bar - one that anyone over the age of 4 probably knows, for how the Genie is. The Broadway shows and adapted in-park show that use to play at California Adventure had to deal with that - how to be a good actor, respect Robbin, but still be the Genie here and now. Will Smith did it - and sure, they made him blue... um, that is the color of the Genie. Good fun, new songs, new elements. All in all a fun new classic that stands on its own as much as it recreates the past.

Great cable - but not quite perfect
on October 11, 2019

Hands down, I have found these to be the best Lightening USB cables. But over time, it seems that every one has had some issues, especially with the lightening end getting wet, scratched or otherwise slightly marred. When that happens it may only work when plugged in one way, but not the other. This also is not an issue covered by warranty. So great that it has a lifetime warranty - I have just never been able to make good on that. Still - in the car, by the bed, or when traveling these are the cables I rely on, and replacing them every two years or so isn't that bad in terms of how long they do seem to last

Love the Apple TV

Just updated my mom's system with a new Apple TV - and so pleased that she is pleased. What is easy for a kiddo, isn't always so with older parents - but Apple TV is so simple and straight forward that she enjoys using it - loves the Hey Siri option - and is having fun discovering new shows and materials that she didn't previously know about. Wonderful product.

Very solid printer

We are swim team parents, and we do scoring - and for that we needed to replace our old printers.
These are rock solid and have been great - faster and far more reliable then our older version.
The only issue I had was that they came defaulted for Wireless with the Network cable port disabled. Took a bit of hunting to find the setting to allow either Wire or Wireless - and once enabled all was great.
Why they disabled the Cat-5/6 port and made it obscure to find, I know not - but it can be made to work and works great once enabled.

Mighty. Smart.Nest Cam IQ is a seriously sharp outdoor security camera. It has brains to tell you when it sees a person and Supersight to show you an extra clear close-up tracking shot of who's there. It can even recognize familiar faces with Nest Aware.

Amazing Field of View
on August 28, 2019
Posted by: dan28088
Verified Purchase:Yes
We have had several Nest Cams installed and one of the original ones started to fritz out.
Having the Nest Cam IQ above our Front Door, I knew this camera offered a substantial improvement over the original models that had moved to our side and back doors.
Replacing the back yard frizzy one with the new Nest Cam IQ was very surprising - the field of view is so much better than expected. We not only see our yard as we had before, but we get additional coverage over the fence and into the street - a whole extra area of coverage that we could not see before while also seeing the yard.
In other words, although more expensive, I am now getting to monitor an area that would have previously required two cameras.
Simply put - the Nest Cam IQ Outdoor is hands down a superior product.

Fun remake - but need to be a fan of Tim Burton

Dumbo is certainly a classic - and the live action remake is fun, but it is also very Tim Burton. If you are not a fan of his style, odds are you won't care much for this remake. And that is unfortunate because the acting pool is great and the CGI comes off very clean and natural. Well done

The best Nikon camera ever!

I have long been a Nikon camera fan and user. I had been using a D800 and decided it was finally time to upgrade once again. The reviews for the D850 were good, but the actual experience of using it - Fantastic. I can't believe how much they packed into this body - it is fast, it is crisp, it is astounding. Yes the price is on the painful side, but hands down this is the best camera I have ever used.

Netgreart support's canned response is unhelpful
March 9, 2020
My posting reports my experiences - and from what I can see from the other postings, my concerns over Parental Controls, which are NOT currently available, have not been an issue for others.
The instability with respect to properly routing email and web requests to a server in my network are also not reported by others - presumably because no one else has tried or had issues.
Given that Netgear Customer Service clearly said that Parental Controls ARE NOT CURRENTLY Available - why on earth would I contact them again?
Your App apparently is intended to permit configuration and control of more than just the Orbi AX6000 system - yet you fail to note this as so.
If Parental Controls and the other features are indeed present, but were not enabled for some reason - then your Customer Support staff are ignorant of the solution.
The result is essentially the same - I called in for help and got none.

Convert almost any electronic device into a smart appliance with the Wemo Mini Wi-Fi smart plug. It plugs into any outlet and lets you control attached appliances via mobile devices.

1. Does it work safely outside US? 2. With 210~220 Volt outlets ? 3. if yes, is it safe to use accesories like apple homepod or ps4?

I use several smart plugs to control my Christmas lights - the newest little cubes have poor antenna and don’t work well outside. Wemo now makes an outdoor plug but have not tried one.
The plug configuration is for normal US home wiring -110/120. The plugs will not fit a 210/220 wall socket or receive the plug from such a device. If you attempt
To redo the plug on such a device it will not work.
Homepods want to be powered at all times so that they can respond to voice commands - putting it in a switch would frustrate that and each time you turn on the switch it
Would be like repligfing in the HomePod

What WiFi speed does this work with

2.4 not 5 - if your Wi-Fi system has both you can unknowingly frustrate your setup by having your phone on 5 while the device needs 2.4 - once set up it doesn’t matter what your phone is on - this same issue can be a problem with the chamberlain garage door opener

Do these work with voice commands using Siri apples HomeKit and do I need a bridge with these

For the mini switch to work with Siri it has to be recognized in HomeKit. The new switches can show up in HomeKit before they show up in the Wemo app during the install process . But then will appear in the Wemo app once it is restarted. I have a Wemo bridge and about 16 Wemo switches, two dimmers and 15 different Wemo plugs. I am also on my third Wemo bridge. It is very annoying that the Wemo devices and bridge are so flakey - they are just fine in their own Wemo app but seem to come and go in HomeKit. I had a large collection before HomeKit was made available so I didn’t want to replace.
Yes I know how to use a web browser to visit the bridge - clear and reset it, as well as how to reset the plugs and switches. I wish there was real stability

Not directly - you will need a HDMI to RCA converter between the Apple TV and your set

Yes - and I also opted for the GeekSquad Protection - have had that on the lens and it has been well worth it.
