Locates your stuff so you don't lose our mind

I've had a Tilemate on my keychain since the 2018 model which has a replaceable battery. Best purchase ever - I just push a button on my iPhone and I found my keys. No more waisting time hunting them down in the house.
So when I saw this 2020 pack w/ the new stickers and updated slim I was intrigued because I also hate looking for my wallet after it slips out of my pants and under the bed or couch. Same goes for my remote. While I hate that these models do not have a replaceable battery I bought them anyway when they were on sale because I though my sanity was worth it.
Turns out it was a good call. Both of these show up in the app with my old Tile Mate and are properly labeled "wallet" and "remote." The Slim is about the thickness and firmness of two credit cards. I don't really notice it's there. It's loud enough to hear even though it's in a leather sandwich, yet it's still muffled.
The stickers are adequately loud too -- you can hear it embedded in the couch cushion as long as the TV isn't on. The only thing I don't like about the stickers is that they aren't exactly paper thin. It's probably the size of 3 or 4 quarters stacked together. That kind of made it awkward to put on my remote but I found a place on the bottom. The sticky stuff that holds it to the device is very durable, not your ordinary tape. But seems like I could easily pull it off when the time comes too. Tile says it has a 3 year batter life.

Nice improvements over gen 1

These are a nice technical improvement over the gen 1 model. The two sound identical, no update there unfortunately. However, increase talk and listening time + Hey Siri makes them more enjoyable to use -- no more having to tap the earbuds to pause or skip or make a phone call.
The wireless charging case is convenience at a cost. 100% not necessary, but now I'm hooked even though I only charge the case once or twice a week. I have charging pads around the house so this makes it easier than having to set up a separate lighting cable or hook up to my computer. Glad I splurged a bit more.

Sound quality is good for a small speaker, but make no mistake, this is a small speaker... a small mono speaker. It will fill a space with music, but don't expect it to fill a room, unless the room is a closet or you have two to make it stereo. That's just the physics of sound.
While you can manually stream any music or music service you like to HomePod via a Mac or iDevice you can only use Siri voice control to control music playback (performer, genre, etc) if yo have Apple Music or iTunes Match. It cannot be used to control HomeSharing, if you use that on your Apple devices. You can control volume though no matter what the source of your music. HomePod only works with AirPlay. There is no way to connect via Bluetooth or a wire.
My big disappointment with HomePod, and why I ultimately gave it 2 stars, is that it's microphones to summons Siri are way too sensitive. HomePod can hear me even on floor down. The result, if I "Hey Siri" a question to my iPhone on the table in front of me, HomePod upstairs will answer. There is currently no setting in iCloud to lower Siri's sensitivity or disable completely and let another iDevice act as a remote. That would solve that problem.
Bottomline: if you have bought into Apple Music and no chance of switching to a different service HomePod may be a good option, depending on whether you use Hey Siri on your other devices. For everyone else, while maybe not as good sounding, Sonos One with Airplay 2 support offers more versatility in connections and streaming service options.

Use iTunes Cards and avoid fraudsters

I use to have my iTunes on file at iTunes. Then my account got hacked and I had to waste so much time disputing the charges. After that event I started to just buy iTunes cards and keep those on files. If my account gets hacked I lose a few bucks but I don't lose time, much more valuable to me. Plus iTunes cards are always on sale so the discount is nice too.
