Fantastic audio upgrade … visuals not so much

Universal does a decent job in upgrading this fantastic 2008 Hulk movie to the 4K medium. In terms of visual, there are some decent resolution bumps in various key scenes in the movie ( e.g., battle on the university campus ) but some scenes look almost identical to the previous blu-ray release. In terms of audio, Universal delivers a superb DTS-X track that brings a lot of bass and low frequency subwoofer punch throughout the movie. In some scenes, use of ceiling or upfiring speaker is used effectively ( e.g., helicopters flying overhead ) and when items are thrown the scene, the sounds travels across the speakers immersing the viewer into the movie. But this for the audio upgrade ( moreso than the visual upgrade )

Huge visual/audio upgrade over the blu-ray version

With a new 4K transfer created straight from the original film source, WB has materially upgraded the visuals on “V for Vendetta” not only in terms of resolution but also in terms of HDR which allows all the details/action in darker scenes to be made out easily and also allows the few colourful moments ( e.g., firework ) to have much more of visual impact. Audio is also enhanced in the form of the new Dolby Atmos track which gives each punch, kick, gunshot, knife more impact to the viewer as it swirls around them across all speakers. Buy with confidence if you’ve never owned or seen this movie before … and previous owners of the older blu-ray transfer can upgrade with no regrets.

After 20+ years after it's initial release, WB finally gives the 4K remaster treatment to one of the best Marvel movies made of all time. From a visual upgrade, WB took the existing 2K intermediate and did minor enhancements in regards to resolution and color grading (e.g., object/elements in darker scenes can be more clearly seen and brighter elements such as the vampires bursting into flames "pop" during those scenes ). It's really in the audio department that this 4K upgrade shines as each gun shot, sword swipe, punches and kicks can be heard with impact through the speakers. Spacial audio elements are active throughout the movie enveloping the viewer in an amazing "wall" of sound. Buy with confidence !

From a visual standpoint, the 4K remaster of Scott Pilgrim impresses with better color grading in terms of skin tones and a bump in resolution for certain scenes. It's really in the audio department with the addition of a Dolby Atmos track that this remaster shines. With spacial elements used throughout the movie ( i.e., crowds in the background and the sound of one evil EX swirling around the viewer) , the movie comes alive and truly elevates the experience for the audience. Buy this 4K for the audio ( and maybe not so much for the visual upgrade )

From a visual standpoint, this 4K remaster of 300 provide minor improvements in resolution but it's in the HDR grading that makes elements such as the spartan's red capes "pop" on the screen. It's really in the audio department that this new 4K remaster shines ! The new Dolby Atmos track brings active sound elements in all scenes providing great bass and clear dialogue during action scenes as well as providing unique spacial elements ( example: When the arrows that " blanket the skies in darkness " fly toward the Spartans, it sounds like it's coming at you from above if you have upfiring or ceiling speakers ). A great 4K upgrade for any 300 fan ! Buy with confidence

After watching/re-watching " The Greatest Showman " many, many times over the year on blu-ray, I figure it was time for a video/audio upgrade to 4k. From a visual standpoint, the increase in resolution is appreciated ... but it's the HDR enhancements in color that make each scene 'pop' as compared to the blu-ray/HD version. From an audio standpoint, the biggest upgrade is in the addition of a Dolby Atmos track which makes the various scores in the movie come alive with sounds coming from all directions. A must buy for any fan of this movie

It's a lovely morning in the village and you are a horrible goose. Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you are a goose let loose on an unsuspecting village. Make your way around town, from peoples' back gardens to the high street shops to the village green, setting up pranks, stealing hats, honking a lot, and generally ruining everyone~s day.

Based on the novel "The Short-Timers" , Kubrick's 1987 movie about the journey of a platoon from their boot camp training to their deployment in the Vietnam War is viewed as modern classic in terms of its depiction of the physical and mental toll of War. The excellent acting of the two leads ( Matthew Modine , Vincent D'Onofrio ) is only eclipsed by the over-the-top performance of Lee Ermey as the infamous Gunnery Sergeant Hartman. This 2020 re-release of FULL METAL JACKET shines with a new 4K transfer that shows intricate details of the sets, locations and costumes that were not visible on the 2007 blu-ray release. Buy this 4K release with confidence if you are a fan of the movie

Tom Hardy does an admirable job in trying to do justice to the Venom Marvel character. But the subpar script and lack of a 'scary' villian bring down this movie. Though this movie might be subpar , the Best Buy exclusive steelbook for Venom is not. Great design elements are used on this steelbook from the great colors, front artwork design and the matte finish mixed in with some spot gloss elements.
