So far so good! We've been running this washer nearly continuously since we got it to get caught up on laundry. Works great with outstanding features. Nice clean digital controls, and lots of additional functions through the app, including the ability to add additional custom cycles or remove cycles from the front panel control knob. The bulk detergent took a short time to get used to, but working great! I like that you don't have to add detergent for each individual load. The app allows you to customize the amount used, and it automatically adjusts for larger / smaller loads or heavier cleaning cycles. A great washer!

Geek Squad installation and service contracts

Outstanding service, prompt and efficient. The team arrived and took care of all related services including removal of the old washer and installation of the new one. This was a replacement under a geek squad service contract. Of note, this is the 2nd appliance I had replaced under a similar contract. The first one was through the manufacturer, after it was unable to be repaired. This took longer for the manufacturer to generate the return, then best buy handled it as a return / exchange. Geek squad replaced it in my home. Under this plan, the service contract was transferred to the new appliance. This time Geek Squad generated the exchange after the service contractor was unable to service the appliance - it did NOT go through the manufacturers (OEM) warranty. Under this plan the Geek Squad service contract is considered fulfilled, and I had to purchase a new contract for the new appliance. The contract price at installation was $30 lower than the advertised web contract price - and it was added by the technicians the day of installation. The replacement was much more streamlined and faster than the OEM route as we didn't have to wait for them to determine the replacement and generate the return. That time we also had to go back to Best Buy to use the return credit and purchase the new appliance.
Ease of use is average only due to the differences in the return experiences. It took several phone calls to Geek Squad after being informed the service contract had been canceled after the latest Geek Squad return, and it was confusing as the last return had transferred to the new appliance. None of the phone service reps could determine or explain the differences, including the supervisors, they were only able to validate what service contracts were in effect. I was finally able to find the answer by digging through the small print on Best Buy's website related to Geek Squad warranties/contracts.
Still - highly recommended, they replaced both my Samsung appliances (washer and dryer) after they failed within the 1st two years. They helped bridge the wide gap between local Samsung appliance authorized repair techs (who also won't move the appliance to a suitable repair location for large repairs - remove replace drum and bearings for example).

Awesome nugget ice - can't get enough of it!!

Great counter-top ice maker. Can't beat the ice, some slight recommendations for improvement, but overall we use it daily. Optional water filter doesn't seem to work with side water reservoir, but it works fine without the filter (standard configuration). We use filtered water from our fridge for the reservoir, so this isn't a big deal. Slightly loud while operating, but not so much to be distracting. Capacity has no problem keeping up with routine daily use (like filling a water glass every time we walk by), the external reservoir we refill every 1-2 days. We bought this for our camper, but use it every day at home! Can't get enough of the nugget ice! We bought a built-in ice machine for our previous home, and ice machines in general are expensive. That one was around $2000, and one of the less expensive models. This is about $500 for a counter-top model, and it takes up some space, but well worth the price if you like nugget ice. I haven't priced out any similar machines for comparison.
Final thoughts - the hopper drips water every time it opens, would be nice to design something that keeps the water inside. A tray which sits in front catches the water. The water fills below the hopper and is pumped through the freezing mechanism which drops nuggets from the top. A drain hose in back hooks to the side tank to keep the water filled inside as it gets used. Melting ice falls back to the bottom and is recycled through the freezing mechanism. The optional filter sits in the bottom of the tank (below the hopper), but seems to restrict flow to the point that make-up water is not drawn from the side tank. Lifting the tank above the hopper level is sufficient to refill the internal water level for another batch of ice until the level runs low. Running the ice maker without the filter is no problem - it is included with a debris screen that is removed when you install the OPAL filter.
It appears GE may have discontinued the filter as it is not available from their website, possibly due to this issue, however it is still available from Amazon (P4INKFILTR).

Satisfactory - just don't let it expire

I tried to renew my Geek Squad webroot which had expired (iMac version). The internal software link took me to the webroot page, the purchased registration code failed to work. When I contacted webroot, they stated it was a geek squad license which had to be purchased through Best Buy. I returned the webroot license and purchased the best buy license, that also failed to work. About an hour online with a Geek Squad tech remoting into my computer to try and uninstall and reinstall the software ultimately failed to resolve the problem and I resorted to returning the software completely.
Ultimately I found the uninstall option which was buried in the "about" information tab and not at all intuitive to locate.
Seems to work fine when it is installed, hard to compare with any of the big name antivirus software companies as to which is best (Norton / Mcafee). Due to the nature of these programs, they are more and more intrusive in your computer and operating system in order to properly work.

For proper installation of a screen protector this large, highly recommend Best Buy installation service. Screen protectors can be finicky to install in the first place, getting it on straight without underlying dust is even more challenging on a large iPad.

It depends on your level of service. The modem can support theoretical downloads up to 600MB. My service is only 25MB which this modem supports just fine. I typically experience download speeds close to and occasionally exceeding what the cable service provides. If you aren’t achieving your service provided levels, even after a modem restart, then it’s time to contact your service provider. Also for most accurate modem measurements use a computer with ethernet cable plugged directly into the modem/router as WiFi speeds will affect the results.
