This charging station just makes things so much simpler. All the joy-cons live here and are charged and ready to use whenever we want. No need to worry about swapping out different sets on your docked console. Highly recommended.

Fun but Challenging

This is one of the first games I bought for my Switch. I though it would a fun one to play with my 10 year-old, and it is, though it definitely has a learning curve. Swing mode lets you wield your joy-con like a racket handle, and here it's all about timing and aiming your shots. The other mode lets you just push a button to hit and makes you do more with moving around your half of the court. When you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot of fun playing against someone else and hitting back and forth, but it takes time.

The was the first game I bought for the Switch since I primarily bought it for my kid to enjoy. Super Mario Party is boardgames-style game with lots of fun mini game elements that make full use of the joy-con's features. It's fun and engaging for kids, though I have found it (at least at the start) a little overwhelming for my 10-year-old learning all the controls and orientations for the joy-con.

Octopath Traveler received rave reviews when it came out, and though I was late in getting it, I found it totally lived up to the hype. This is a classic JRPG with all the tropes and modes you expect, but with a lot of modern features. The graphics are great, combining that old-school 8-bit look with textured, almost painted backgrounds.

I had been looking for a set of wireless headphones. I hate earbuds (they feel weird in my ears) and the on-ear headphones tend to hurt my ears after less than an hour. These over-the-ear headphones are just right, fitting comfortably around my ears so that I can wear them for long periods of time. Add in the wireless and noice cancelling functions and for the price they're a good buy.
