Bought mid 2024. Works as advertised. I run it every other day - no mechanical issues. Cut my cleaning time significantly. Great value for the money. Only downside is lack of a fine filter. The N1 Plus (new for 2025) has a fine filter, and does not cost much more. Aiper says the fine filter in the Plus will fit the plain N1, so patiently waiting for the fine filter basket to be sold as an accessory item

Be aware the headset will not work through a hub - has to connect directly to the PS on the USB-C port.
I use the USB-C for the standard controller charger, and all the other ports for other items, so had to get another hub just for charging the controllers.

Obviously has two hand controllers, but only 1 short charging cable.
If you dont have a spare USB-C to USB A cable, you’ll need to buy another one to charge one of the controllers.

After charging, controllers worked at the console level, but not in game. Took some internet research to find it is a known and longstanding issue. Fortunately, one of the laundry list of home-based corrective actions fixed the problem. IMHO, for as long as the problem as existed, this should have been corrected at the factory long ago.

Bad part is first one failed within a few weeks. The repair process is tedious, you have to disassemble the unit (they only want the control board). Polk does not cross ship the replacement board. Now one goes out (or they repair yours) after what you send has been inspected/evaluated.
That said, the replacement works great - no issues at all

When you first use this, it is fiddly getting the controller at the correct angle (nearly vertical).
Eventually you realize the controller has to be firmly pushed down to seat in the cradle - which is effectively a spring loaded lock. (Have to push down again to get it to release.)
Surprise bonus: when you push down to release, the motion activates the PS button - if your system is off, it auto-turns on as soon as you remove the controller from the charging unit.
If a different controller is active/connected to the PS4, removing #2 from the charger automatically gets the “who is using theirs controller?” Prompt.
Pretty slick.

I needed an external drive for my PS4. Several web sites suggested the WD black. I liked it becasue unlike some other external drives, the WD black does not require a separate power supply/cable.
The Xbox logo’ed drive works great, even if attached to a PS4 :) )
Downside is you are not supposed t connect through a hub, so it takes 1 of my 2 USB ports…not an issue unless you run your controller wired on long play sessions and are using a USB headset…
Anyway, the drive is fine. Quiet and fast.
Finding the drive in the store, however, is another story.
The plain, un logo’ed WD drive (multiple capacities) is in the laptop/computer section of the store, which is where I started.

Checked the xbox area, found this drive.
Its just odd that the same product is in 3 separate locations in the store, with nothing indicating hey, there might be more of these over in xxx area.

Does this have underwater sensors to avoid being stuck in an infinity pool wall?
It has extendible “feet” to prevent it from getting hung up on steps. It tend to ride a bit higher in the front that the back. Given that, on approach to an infinity wall, the obstruction sensors in the front (just above the horizontal rollers) may not see anything….so logically, it would not stop/try to turn, instead would just keep going forward.
