ATOM HEART MOTHER 2016 version. VINYL LP - Atom Heart Mother is the fifth studio album by English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It was released by Harvest and EMI Records 2 October 1970 in the UK, and by Harvest and Capitol on 10 October 1970 in the US.[1] It was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England, and was the band's first album to reach number 1 in the UK,[2] while it reached number 55 in the US chart,[3] eventually going gold there.[4] A remastered CD was released in 1994 in the UK and the United States, and again in 2011. Ron Geesin, who had already influenced and collaborated with Roger Waters, made a notable contribution to the album and received a then-rare outside songwriting credit. - This was the first Pink Floyd album to be specially mixed for four-channel quadraphonic sound as well as conventional two-channel stereo. The SQ quadraphonic mix was released on LP in a matrix compatible with standard stereo record players. There was also a of the quadraphonic version in the UK in fully discrete four-channel form on the InchQuad-8Inch , a four-channel variant of the stereo 8-track tape cartridge. - The cover was designed by Hipgnosis, and was significant in that it was the first one to not feature the band's name on the cover, or contain any photographs of the band anywhere. This was a trend that would continue on subsequent covers throughout the 1970s and beyond. Personnel - Pink Floyd (all instrumentation uncredited) Roger Waters - bass guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals on InchIfInch, tape effects, tape collages David Gilmour - guitars, vocals, bass and drums on InchFat Old SunInch[65] Rick Wright - keyboards, vocals on InchSummer '68Inch Nick Mason - drums, percussion, tape editing, tape collage, additional engineering on InchAlan's Psychedelic BreakfastInch Additional musicians EMI Pops Orchestra - brass and orchestral sections (uncre

Highly recommended pre-Dark Side Floyd!
on April 11, 2022

An oddball entry in Pink Floyd's catalogue, but the side-long title suite holds up as well as anything in the progressive genre. And side two contains three of their best conventional songs. Highly recommended pre-Dark Side Floyd!

Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of this 1985 album from the legendary British quartet. With their second proper album Meat Is Murder, The Smiths began to branch out and diversify, while refining the jangling guitar pop of their debut. InchThe Headmaster RitualInch and InchI Want the One I Can't HaveInch are fine elaborations of the formula they laid out on the debut, while InchRusholme RuffiansInch is an infectious stab at Rockabilly. Such was their creative thrust at this point; they were seen as the most important British band since Joy Division. Above all though, there was no other British group making music quite like this in 1985. Album Tracks 1. The Headmaster Ritual (2011 Remastered Version) 2. Rusholme Ruffians (2011 Remastered Version) 3. I Want the One I Can't Have (2011 Remastered Version) 4. What She Said (2011 Remastered Version) 5. That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore (Single Version) 1. Nowhere Fast (2011 Remastered Version) 2. Well I Wonder (2011 Remastered Version) 3. Barbarism Begins at Home (2011 Remastered Version) 4. Meat Is Murder (2011 Remastered Version)

Worthy Sophomore Outing for the Smiths

Lacks the song by song emotional impact of the Smiths' debut album, but also moves boldly into more interesting song structures and themes.

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. For this one, Jack and Meg decamped to Memphis to record at the legendary Easley-McCain Studio and walked away with a bonafide classic. Unique for a White Stripes album, as it contains no covers, no guest musicians, no blues and no guitar solos, this album would be most of the world's introduction to the band. While the video for InchFell In Love With A GirlInch could've single-handedly raised the price of LEGO stock the other jams on here are momentous, from the fuzz distorted clarion call of album opener InchDead Leaves and the Dirty GroundInch to the finger-pointing accusations of InchI Think I Smell A RatInch this album has everything you could ever want from the Detroit duo. Cut directly from the original 1/4Inch master tapes, pressed on 180gm vinyl and lovingly ensconced in a beauteous Stoughton tip-on jacket... this album has never looked better, and perhaps, has looked markedly worse. Album Tracks 1. Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground 2. Hotel Yorba 3. I'm Finding It Harder to Be a Gentlemen 4. Fell in Love with a Girl 5. Expecting 6. Little Room 7. The Union Forever 8. The Same Boy You've Always Known 1. We're Going to Be Friends 2. Offend in Every Way 3. I Think I Smell a Rat 4. Aluminum 5. I Can't Wait 6. Now Mary 7. I Can Learn 8. This Protector

This release collects every episode from the final season of the stylish AMC drama that follows the lives of Madison Avenue advertising executives (so-called "Mad Men") in the 1960s and 70s. The show centers on Don Draper (Jon Hamm), the brilliant creative director whose personal demons threaten to derail his career.

Mad Men: Masterful TV
on May 26, 2021

Mad Men is my all-time favorite show from beginning to end. I'm in the midst of rewatching the entire series with my roommate/friend, and somehow it resonates even more the second time through. The vibrant 1960's period detail, the complicated characters, and the heavy emotional depth combine for pure, masterful storytelling!

Limited vinyl LP including digital download. Boston is the debut studio album by Boston. Produced by Tom Scholz and John Boylan, the album was originally released on August 25, 1976. The album sold extremely well, breaking sales records, becoming the best-selling debut LP in the US at the time, and winning the RIAA Century Award as best selling debut album. The album's singles, most notably InchMore Than a FeelingInch and InchLong TimeInch, were both AM and FM hits, and nearly the entire album receives constant rotation on classic rock radio. Album Tracks 1. More Than a Feeling 2. Peace of Mind 3. Foreplay / Long Time 1. Rock & Roll Band (Album Version) 2. Smokin' (Album Version) 3. Hitch a Ride 4. Something About You (Album Version) 5. Let Me Take You Home Tonight (Album Version)

Vinyl LP repressing of this iconic album. THE Velvet Underground was the third album by Lou Reed and his cohorts. It was their first record to feature Doug Yule, John Cale's replacement. The album's sound - consisting largely of ballads and straight-forward rock songs - marked a notable shift in style from the group's previous recordings. Album Tracks 1. Candy Says 4 04 2. What Goes on 4 54 3. Some Kinda Love 4 03 4. Pale Blue Eyes 5 39 5. Jesus 3 23 1. Beginning to See the Light 4 40 2. I'm Set Free 4 04 3. That's the Story of My Life 2 03 4. The Murder Mystery 8 54 5. After Hours 2 07

A superb VU classic - their third - and very different from their first two. I've owned it on CD forever, but its quiet warmth is perfect for a vinyl spin. Excellent!

Brilliant, Underrated Band
on March 14, 2021

One of my favorite bands of the 21st century - these guys are underappreciated and consistently create insanely excellent albums. The music is shamelessly pompous, yet delivers with brilliant intensity and real emotion - a perfect combination of progressive rock and post-punk ferocity. Love!

This is a very fun 80's retro boombox with the added bonus functionality of digitizing cassettes to MP3's. I had several homemade cassettes that I easily converted to MP3's for long-term archiving. Great find!

Better Than I First Thought
on February 19, 2021

As a teenager when this came out, I tried to act too cool for it. It was commercial punk and couldn't hold a candle to its 1977 forbearers. But listening again years later, I have a kinder, fondly nostalgic view - these are nice, melodic, muscular tunes.
