My 2015 MacBook Pro started having heating and rainbow wheel issues under heavy load during photography and film editing.
The Mac Mini has held up on photography incredibly well. My Adobe suite is up to date and the Mini held up with the editing really well.
I doubt I’d have as much success on the video end, so I’ll be waiting for the M2 lineup to come out.
For light business tasks, email, and photography, this has been a refreshing breath of fresh air to use!

I've used this drive with Chronosync on my Mac to backup all my Lightroom files. So far, I've had no issues, and none of my WD drives have failed so far from 2016 and onward. It could be because I have so many drives, and I do monthly backups for some drives and weekly for others.
So far so good. Eventually I expect them to fail, and I just started SSD for my PS5, so hopefully this lasts me a while as well.

Trusty Drive With No Issues!

I used this drive as an external for my PS4 PRO all the way from purchase until I sold it to purchase my PS5. I never had any corruption issues, and I used this drive to transfer all my games to my PS5 with no issues.
Now that the WD Black chips/drives are available for the PS5, I have no use for this drive, but it did its job all the way to the end of a chapter.

Great Subsitute for Atomos Brand Drives

I've used this drive for an Atomos Ninja 5" screen because I didn't want to pay for the Atomos brand drives since they were about 4x the price for the same space.
I bought adapters to be able to use this drive with the housing that goes into the monitor, and there have been no issues with data transfer or integrity.
Do your research though on whether or not you want to use these drives for movie production. They've worked good for me so far with no problems.

I never imagined I'd use a 43" TV for work and gaming. I got the idea from Linus Tech Tips after I saw a few videos of his staff using a similar setup for monitors of the same size.
I decided to go with a TV so that I can have sound and watch some of my favorite shows. I expect to get great value out of this device since I'm using it for everything.
The TV is great for the PS5, and there's no signal lag which requires a game mode. Resolution for my laptops is great--one is limited by its integrated video, and the other has ia dedicated card, and the display and resolution are good enough.
My main intention was to be able to use everything as an all-in-one and it delivers. I've had it for over a month, and it's been great!

Did you check the other computer to see if it had the software needed to open the file?
