Great box artistically, lacks titles to be complet

Ok, not going to knock this for not in including Army of Darkness... I think the effort was not made to negotiate for it like other companies have done for other franchises (Scream Factory pulked it off for Halloween and Friday the 13th) which is disappointing but I wasn't there. Also, where is the remake? This effort seems a little hollow since it is really close to being an ultimate collection vut not... so they kind of settled for a rehash boxed set that is fat on packaging and low on new value and completeness. All that aside, its a beautiful boxed set, you either like the art or you don't- I do. Others have shared they felt like it should have used more of the actual movie shots instead. I think that would work too but I actually bought this for the art... I already had all these disks. (I will be selling them now) Lastly, I like the book format but don't like putting disks into the cardboard book slots so not really happy about that part. In short, there us some style over substance and missing AoD and the remake is not great byt its still a good looking boxed set abd happy I added it to my collection. I went in knowing all of these things. Hopefully sharing here will hekp you maje a reasoned decision as well.

Beautiful steel, same poor 4K transfer

Love this steelbook... the current trend to add a clear slip to steelbooks has my enthusiastic thumbs up. The opportunity to add more art that way and have art the interacts with the steel book like this is a great add to an industry that is suffering in a lot of other ways. This has Arnold on the slip and T-800 face underneath. Why only 3 stars then? Well pretty simple, the 4K transfer is still the same aweful transfer. I love me some James Cameron but the man needs to get some help on getting transfers done on this and his other properties rhat have not been released yet. The steelbook earns the points here, the movie is fantastic but the transfer just cannot be rewarded with the 5 stars I want to give dor a great movie. Give us the extended cut with a new transfer please.

Love this movie, so glad it got some 4K love. Beautiful steelbook, as usual it arrived dented which makes me unhappy. Even so, I will figure out how to fix that. Well worth the buy.

Beautiful steelbook, a little bit if a fail in that they use the same picture three times just at different zoom levels for the front/back/ inner art but still very nice. I do lind of wish they had gotten the same artist that did the even more beautiful Venom steelbook to do this one but internal consistency to a franchise seems to be a real challenge in this realm. If it isn't in a boxed set, they just don't try. Since steelbooks appeal largely only to collectors you would think that might be a consideration. Regardless, its pretty. The movie looks good, its just ok to me... Tom Hardy is a joy again but this one comes out with about the same rating for me... so if you liked Venom you will probably like this too. I you didn't, this won't change your mind. I gave the movie a 3 star but bump it a star because the steelbook is great. The 4K transfer is good. No real complaints here. Definitely worth a pick up if you are a fan of the genre.

Bare Bones... Don't think too hard about that...

Love these movies. They can double or triple dip me and I will still buy them. I think they look the best they ever have. If tou have not bought before... this will get you the first 4.
What I don't like:
Why not all 6 OG movies?
I would have preferred each movie get its own case instead 4K in on and blurays in the other but at least they aren't in paper sleeves or stacked. For the price they could have sprung for different cover art between the bluray cases... they actually just chopped the case art faces from the box cover art. How cheap can you get.
And I don't love the box cover artwork... Why is Kirk in the blue outfit-weakest uniform of all the series and movies? Seriously?
In short, they put almost zero effort into this boxed set, the best you can say is it is compact in your shelf.
Fortunately, the movies look and sound great, its a cash grab if you already have them on bluray maybe its a pass but if you don't and maybe try for a sale... the most important part is the movies abd that was done well enough.

The movie is ok, about a 3 5 to 4 out of 5. This release gets a 5 because the steelbook is gorgeous, the transfer was well done, very satisfied. There are plenty of reviews out there about the film. The action and fight choreography was good if a little over the top especially near the end. Male characters were shorted in the quality of their writing and roles. David Harbour was grear with wgat he had to work with. so largely wasted. Scarlett and Florence Pugh were excellent abd understandably were the focus. Good popcorn movie. Solid buy! Received in the mail, well packed and without damage. Much appreciated!

To be fair, I already had the Zavvi version a month or more earlier, but this was a nice design and I am good with the redundancy. It looks great!, You will be happy with the purchase. You should know that it does not include the "Justice is Gray" edition. HBO did not release that.... yet. Its pretty good and huge leap above the original Whedon cut JL. It is akso not widescreen but was released in the Same "IMAX" screen configuration as seen in HBO and theaters.
