It will. However, you should google Orbi and CenturyLink because there are various topics that should be understood.
I have the satellite about 30’ away from the router (RBR50) and have not experienced any connection issues. However, it does depend on your home’s structure. While 30’ is not a problem for me, it could be for someone else, requiring the satellite to be placed at only 25’, for instance, from the router.
Netgear says this system is for indoor use. Period. If you have a covered patio, protecting the satellite from getting wet, you probably could place it outside. However, with the RBK50’s coverage up to 5000 sq ft, there probably isn’t a need to place the satellite outside.
