When Best Buy tempted me with a 10% off birthday offer, I wondered what I'd use it on. I came to this decision. The surface feels nice and the RGB going in rainbow colors around the edge is rather neat...I didn't expect to like this thing nearly as much as I do. The extra USB port at the mid top of the pad offsets the use of the one used for power in the computer itself.

You kind of have to have an OS to run your computer...Win10 is what it is. At least I haven't had to reinstall anything as of yet, which I couldn't say about Win7 as I had to wipe and reinstall a total of four times over four years due to various bugs, errors and Windows Update flaws.

Great pair of headphones for a great price

I've since upgraded to the HyperX Cloud Alpha, but I still own two sets of this model and I do not at all regret it. To my ear, these inexpensive headphones are pretty outstanding for their price range. The mic is very nice as well...I've recorded a couple of YouTube videos with it and not a "professional" mic, and I've gotten compliments of how good the voice audio sounds off of it.
For the money, this headset is a no-brainer. Absolutely recommended if you're looking for inexpensive and quality in the same package.

Need to slice and dice but the regular type of kitchen knives leave something to be desired? Grab these. I picked up a total of three sets...one for myself and two for kids. They make cutting through various foodstuffs and absolute breeze. The instructions say that they are NOT dishwasher safe, so when you hand wash them, be VERY careful to not cut yourself as they will easily do that as well.
I'm very glad I picked these up, and on a Deal of the Day sale to boot!

Just not for me

I gave this set a chance but I wasn't fond of them, and ending up returning the set. These are just my personal hangups and don't have a lot to do with the overall quality, which I believe is otherwise good. The keyboard can be rather flat on the surface (the stands engaged don't give it a lot of angle for typing) and I found the mouse a little flat for my personal taste. I did like the RGB on the keyboard and thought that the onboard "chevron" key on the mouse makes some on the fly adjustments for mouse speed, which is a feature I've never seen before. The keyboard seems a bit...mushy?...which can be standard with a membrane keyboard, but the RGB was fun.
Not to my personal tastes but I really can't count that against the product. If I weren't so stuck on other certain feels of keyboards, I very likely would have kept the set.

Great Sound

I picked up this headset to compliment my Sound Blaster Z sound card. To my ear, USB sound just isn't quite as good as what a sound card can deliver, thus I wanted a specific 3.5mm plug. I previously used a pair of HyperX Cloud Stinger and was impressed enough to begin with. These are quite a ways better than the Stinger, and I'm completely in love with the sound combination.
My only con would be that the ear cups are not flexible; i.e., they don't turn to fit on your neck like some others (including the Cloud Stinger) do, so anytime I am not using the set I take them off. It's also a touch more difficult to find a good pairing on my ears for comfort when putting them on since they do not twist. That said, when a good position is found, the sound is well worth it.

Yes. You need to be connected to the internet first in order to "route" the information through the router, i.e., you should have your DSL or cable modem working before setting this up.

I have windows 7. Unfortunately I didn't upgrade to windows 10 when it was free. Is this what I need for an upgrade? Or is there another way of upgrading Windows 7 to 10
Microsoft officially stopped doing this a couple of years ago as you know, but unofficially they're still supporting it. This article (dated June 2019) will show you how to do it.
I would ensure that you have all Win7 security fixes and updates installed before you do this to ensure you don't have any (or few) hiccups. Good luck!

This is correct. Any combination of power pins can be used for a GPU, as long as the GPU doesn't exceed what the supply can provide. That said, I would recommend having at least 100 watts more in a power supply than you actually need as it's always a good idea to have some headroom.
