Entertaining despite its flaws

This is not a great movie. It's an OK movie. The characters are very interchangeable stereotypes to the degree where the primary villain is just Evil Female Villain # 74.
What's fun about this movie are the monster fights and action scenes.
As always the Rock delivers a charismatic performance that's fun but shallow.
In the end, you'll enjoy this movie, but with bland/uninspired writing, it's not going to win any awards anytime soon.
