I think this Sony is a good value. It has a number of features, including 7 channels and a remote setting where you can have a set of speakers in a different room, or outside, that play separately. The sound is good and it is pretty easy to set up. It takes a bit of time to become familiar with all of the features, but that is common with these types of receivers. Especially if you have multiple video sources to handle, this receiver makes it much easier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

how many units can be hooked up ?
i need a new receiver, and have 4 componants to hook up,can this accomadate all ?
It depends on what kinds of video outputs your components have. This has four HDMI inputs, one RCA component, and one coaxial input, plus two optical inputs. So, if you have a bunch of older components with standard RCA video outputs, then you are going to have a problem. But if you have components for audio with RCA outputs, then the receiver should be able to handle three. You really need to have someone knowledgeable help you with this.

Setting up A/B switching for 2 audio zones
The best buy web site indicates that you can set up 2 audio zones. I have a home theater in my family room (a 5/1 config) and I have 2 outdoor speakers on my deck to play music outside.I do not see a good description of how to do this in the manual. can anyone explain how this is done?
There is a setting for bi-amp speakers called "remote" (I am not in front of the receiver, but I believe that is the setting name). That makes the two bi-amp speakers-the ones on your deck- operate by themselves. Otherwise, they will operate with the main speakers which may not be what you want. It took me a while to figure it out also.

Would I be able to hook up only 5 speakers?
I am interested in this receiver and realize the system is for a 7 speaker setup. However, with my setup I only need 5. would there be a problem if I only ran 5 speakers?
That should be no problem, as you would be using the front, center, and surround connections and not the "surround back/bi-amp" connections. Those are for a set of speakers in a different room, or outside, which you can have run separately. That is what 7.2 channel is designed for. If you only want a typical surround-sound arrangement, then a 5.1 or 5.2 -channel receiver would work.

Hooking up projector with component cables
Trying to drive video from a blu ray player into the receiver (via hdmi) and then from receiver into projector via component cable coming out of the projector. Audio works great but cannot see any video. I am plugging the yellow video cable from the projector into the yellow video port in the back of the receiver with no luck...
make sure you have the video input going to the input connection, and the cable running to the projector hooked to the Monitor video connection, which is the "out" one. Then make sure you have the receiver set on the right input selection

HDCP 2.2 ?
You should research this with Sony, but I don't think this model handles 2.2.

Yes, if set up properly, they should as the receiver has blue tooth

Is this unit HDCP 2.2 compliant ?
Is the STRDH750 hdcp 2.2 compliant ?
I do not believe it is. The BestBuy site does not specify either way, but other sites that sell audio components and list this model indicate that it may not be 2.2 compliant. I would research this with Sony to make sure.

What do you havr that I can hook a turntable to?
Any receiver that has RCA audio inputs can handle a turntable with standard RCA output cables.

is posible to use 8 ohm speakers?
Check the manual, but standard speakers of 4 and 8 ohms shouldn't be a problem for this receiver unless you are really going to crank it loud for extended periods, and I mean really really loud.

Wireless Mic
Can a wireless mic be hooked up to this amplifier? If yes, how is the best way to accomplish that?
Possibly if it has blue tooth capabilities. But otherwise you will need a receiving base to plug into an audio input on the receiver.
