Bought this for my wife to replace a failed Windows PC. Really prefer to use my MAC but under the circumstances, needing a Windows PC, to run some software that is not available for the MAC, I am pleasantly surprised how well this machine functions. I removed the bloat ware and performed the suggested Windows settings tweaks and it works just fine and does just what I bought it for. Also a really great price.

Will I have to disconnect the dish network for this product to work?

No, you will just have to set your TV settings for either over the air(antenna) or cable. A change in the settings will be required each time you change from one to the other.
