I WANT TO REPLACE A DELL DEMISION 5150 MODEL WITH NEW TOWER. CAN IT BE DONE USING MY EXISTING MONITOR AND KEYBOARD. IF SO, WHAT 8GB MEMORY MODEL ?
I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE NEW TOUCH SCREEN IS THE WAY TO GO, BUT I AM COMFORTABLE WITH MY EXISTING SET UP.
Yes, you can replace your desktop with any new desktop and likely still use your existing monitor and keyboard.
Just check that the physical ports are the same--like if your monitor is vga, you will need a vga port on the new computer, not just hdmi. Likewise if your current keyboard doesn't have a usb plug (has a round end with pins, very dated now), you would either need an adapter or to use the new keyboard. (Most desktops come with a keyboard, but you may prefer your old one for different reasons.)
