Initially it worked as well as can be expected. I didn't have a USB-C port on my computer; that was more a future-proof thing. I say initially and "I'm waiting" for one reason. Initial reports from the field suggest a higher than expected failure rate on external SSD drives. As long as I'm using it for transport, that's no big. However, I am leery of using them as long term storage.

Great sounding speaker. It's a convenient size and the color is great. Waterproof means I don't have to worry about it getting caught outdoors and I can use it in the bathroom during my shower.

I had to get an iPhone hooked up to a no-name deck-o-cards DLP projector. The owner had this HDMI to USB+Lightning thing that looked more like a Christmas decoration than electronic gear. Off I go to Best Buy and get the Apple branded adapter. Voila, it works like a charm and I look good (or better than I normally do). Moral of the story: Go for quality and a known quantity. The end.

So far as SSD drive goes, this hasn't disappointed. Realistically, the speed between brands isnt noticeably different. Samsungs Pro line warranty is a little ridiculously long. And their 850 EVO is more expensive than SanDisks. So SanDisk got the nod. The only reason to ding them one star is that it doesn't have Samsung's (proprietary) cloning software. Something that has made migration efforts a piece of cake.

The Defender Otterbox has been the most protective case I've used for iPads. This beefy burly thing will double the bulk of your standard iPad Air. But if you use it in a hostile environment like I do, it's about the best thing going. What sets the Defender apart are 1) relative ease of disassembly and 2) the hard plastic faceplate/screen guard. Regarding #2, I've seen cases fail simply because impact or pressure on the screen will shatter it, even with a tempered overlay.
Hugely bulky and heavy but if your circumstances call for it, this is the one.

I had a choice of 2 thunderbolt cables. 18" and 6'6" (aka 2 meter). Something in between would have been ideal. 18" is way too short for much of anything.
Lesson learned from my first purchase of the shortie wire: Go long.

I just needed replacement drive for an older computer. Given the age of the machine, I wasn't looking for anything high performance or super reliable (a new drive implicitly carries an increase in reliability).
After some work on it that counted as burn-in, I'm confident that the drive is totally functional in the way I expected.

The thing I never cared for about the new short-throw Mac keyboards is that the key travel is too short. I dont exactly long for the days of yore when keys had a quarter inch travel. Still, the solar powered Logitech is a good compromise. It's big enough for hands trained on IBM Selectrics but feels tres moderne with its low profile design.
As far as the solar panels go? We'll see. I don't mind the heavy weight of the keyboard. But my understanding is the solar battery is one-shot. It can be replaced but is not meant to be. When that time comes we'll see if i gnash my teeth or am willing to swap out.

My user just wanted a keyboard with integrated wrist rest. I got him this upscaled kit from Logitech. I'm not sure how many people actually exploit the additional functions of the mouse (i.e. tipping the scroll wheel left and right to yield more commands).
Just as well. That thing can get complicated with the downloadable configuration utility. But if you don't have an IT dept to cause grief, this could supply hours of enjoyment and fascination.

I lost the unifying receiver, does it sell alone?
You can hunt down replacement receivers on Amazon and the like. Difficult to impossible through Logitech. Be prepared though. It's about 11-15 bucks for the receiver alone. If that's galling, I guess you could buy their cheapest Unifying mouse just for the receiver.

Is this a wet/dry vac or only dry?
I'd say dry only. There's only a filter bag between the nozzle and the motor. If you tried sucking up water, you'd be soaking the motor down in no time flat.
