Very pleased with this cooker. The quality of the construction is great. Nice thick stainless steel with large ceramic removable pot. Controls are easy to use. The display on the control is excellent. Overall a great product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This may sound stupid- but can I use the app to operate the Belkin switch, say.... from India?

It should work from anywhere your phone which has the app has a decent connection.

If you need to see is over communal Wi-Fi? I'd like to get as a graduation gift for a. Dorm bound freshman but don't want to waste money if she can't use it over Wi-Fi

I set mine up using wifi. It works great.
