Don’t hesitate, buy!
It sounds great. The bummer is that the only subwoofer option is nearly double it’s own cost and without it leaves listeners with a nice soundbar that quite honestly has no bass support.

Sonos has finally incorporated airplay, which is super helpful for when sharing audio from your Apple devices.
But, there’s Alexa. Alexa works wonderful on her own, however, in the Sonos devices it’s a no go for me. Unresponsive and unrealizable. Thankful it’s possible to turn it off!
I do love how it is much smaller than the PlayBar and the price point is much more reasonable than its bigger brother.

The Apple TV has come a long way! I stopped using it after generations 2 but with this new device I am back on the bandwagon again.
I love the remote. Much easier to use and navigate, then add my iPhone to the mix and I can easily do anything with the prompts to use my phone as a keyboard. Best thing ever.
Only thing I continue to get frustrated over is that in order to do pretty much anything other than watch a cool screen saver, you have to log in with an Apple ID.
Just to download a free app you have to have a credit card on file in your Apple ID. I don’t happen to want anyone using this device to ever download anything that requires payment...so NO Apple!

These Philips products are pretty great!
At first I purchased this kit thinking it would work with my WINK hub. Word to the wise, you need to have a philips hue bridge to make that conection possible.
I returned this one and bought the 4 bulb kit with the bridge and all is well!

The reason for 4 stars is for the Samsung One Connect box. I HATE that there is not even 1 HDMI port on the back of the TV. I have my TV mounted above the fireplace and then have run HDMI over Ethernet kits to the TV location from another room. Well, this One Connect Box becomes a HUGE inconvenience in scenarios like this!
Many of us use the TV merely as a display for movies/games etc. processing audio separately to my Martin Logan speakers.
The other reason this box can be such a problem is that if you somehow lose it, you are totally up a creek until you replace it with another one.

Best iPhone yet. Upgraded from a 6 plus and couldn't believe how much more this phone had to offer! The photos are amazing, wifi has definitely improved and the new functions of iOS that would make my previous phone lock up are super fun to use!

The past 3 phones I've owned I have used the Zagg shields. Each phone has been dropped and the glass protector shattered while the phone screen was protected.

Looked for a simple iPhone 8+ case. This fit the bill completely!
It needed to be slim, light weight, slip resistant and not that cheap plastic that cracks open on the first drip.
Bought it for my wife and got myself one in black. Best $30 for a simple case!

Started with one of these plugs to control the Christmas tree. I was looking for something that would work with Wink, Apple Home Kit, Alexa and as many others as possible.
I easily set this device up from the comfort of my dining room sitting next to a plug and then moved it to the tree.
I am thrilled by how I can tell Siri to turn on or off the Christmas tree, control the on/off from WINK, or holler at Alexa to turn on/off. Great little smart gadget!

This thing is incredible. But do yourself a favor and make sure to buy the Soundbar and the Sub at the same time.
The Soundbar is super advanced allowing users to select modes that improve dialog levels and/or control high volumes for late night flicks while the kids sleep undisturbed. For both music and movies this thing continues to impress us and our guests.
(Did I mention though that without the Sub it leaves a bit to be desired)
Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that there really is no incentive to buying the 2 together. Come on Best Buy, give the people what they want...sell the pair with $100 off! :)

I've been a Mac guy for years. In the past 6 months I've needed a PC for many scenarios but dragged my feet not wanting to rock the boat.
Finally, I stopped in to Best Buy in Folsom and talked with Erik who helped me purchase this computer from his passion for the product and to resolve my fear of change.
It was an open box computer and I ended up finding out that the previous buyer had completely wiped it and loaded Linux. Unfortunately the Geek Squad did not catch this and loaded Windows 10 back on to it without properly restoring it. I spent 3 days on the phone with Dell and finally got it resolved when they were able to supply me with a physical copy of Windows 10 to properly restore everything.
While my experience with Erik was incredible, I was definitely disappointed with the fact that Geek Squad missed it on this.
Final result is that I absolutely love this 2 in 1 computer! I still use my Mac a lot; now I can complete things that are PC specific and explore the world of PC without fear of change. The learning curve is real, but overall the computer and Windows 10 seem to be quite intuitive.

Is pairing the Beam with 2 Play 5s and a Sub versus the Sub and 2 Sonos Ones an overkilI? I just purchased 2 Play 5s, 4 Sonos Ones, a Sub and the Beam and I am now having second thoughts on the original configuration/room location
Too much Sonos is never a bad thing....
With that said, I would recommend that you use the Play1 speakers for your surround speakers and move the Play5 speakers to other areas of listening. The sub is going to very nicely compliment the Play1 and Beam speakers while the Play 5 speakers can be enjoyed with or without a sub and not leave a person lacking much. This is especially the case if you pair 2 Play5 speakers in stereo mode!!

I have a 2008 Samsung without a Arc hdmi. What is the best way to use the beam for both streaming amazon music and tv audio without any receiver/amp.

I'm thinking of getting my husband a sound bar for Christmas, he wants a sound system but nothing crazy we had a old school system but it was a pain with all the wires and speaker, should I go with this one or would a cheaper one be just as good
If you love music and enjoy watching any TV or movies you will not regret the purchase. It will probably bow him away. A purchase like this would last many year of enjoyment versus a cheaper option which would degrade in audio quality and compatibility quickly as technology improves.
We play background music in the house through our Playbar which is a huge added bonus over what the majority of alternatives allow.

Sound bar placed behind tv due to shelf depth. It's in an 24" deep niche with approximately 4 inches of opening on sides and top of tv. Will it affect sound bar performance and if so, how much degradation?
I would not spend the money on the SONOS playbar if you are going to put it in a cabinet like this. Sound relies on uninterrupted lines of sight for proper intelligibility and dispersion. You will lose a lot of that as it bounces around in the cabinet before it exits and will probably find yourself running the volume a lot higher then normal as well.

I'm considering buying the Sonos 5.1 Channel Wireless Theater System with a pair of Sonos One Speaker, I have my router located in a different room from the Sonos system, is this an issue?
No that's not an issue at all. Make sure to purchase the BOOST which will sit in your closet by the router to connect the SONOS to your internet as well as the wireless network for you to control it from your devices.
(the boost is not often recommended by sales people because SONOS is wifi compatible. Purchase it anyways lest you find yourself frustrated with slowed wifi speeds and occasional connection dropouts)

If I purchase a Sonos Theater System, will I be able to play my music from a computer located in a different room? If so can you listen to just music without the tv on?
simply put, yes. Use the SONOS application on your computer and set it's music library as one of the shared sources to the Sonos System.

Is there an HMDI port on this computer? If so, is it the standard size?
No there is no HDMI. The computer is too thin to have space for the larger connections. Instead it has 1 USB Type-C port on each side of the computer. You would need an adapter from USB-C to HDMI.
