With the new MacBook Pro having USB-C and everything else I own still running HDMI, USB3 and so on the desk was getting to be a mess. The goal was to find something that was great value, compact and covered all the bases of connection. This fit the bill!

Purchased this sleeve to go with my Dell 2 in 1 laptop. Overall there was nothing wrong with it, but when I got online and found nearly the same sleeve for $9, I quickly returned this one and ordered the alternate...

Was looking for speakers that would bring the party outside to the pool...These did the trick! The audio is clear from low frequency through high. Many of the other speakers I tried were lacking especially in the low frequency area.

Every home theater is an investment of some sort. When using this device as recommended by the manufacture, it provides complete protection for all my devices whether it be from surge, brown outs and inconsistent(dirty).
Note: if you plug all your devices into this, but fail to use this device to in line with your cable provider, you may be at risk still if lightning was to strike and come down that line. Bring your cable into the Panamax before it goes to your internet and/or cable box!

SONOS... what a wonderful invention!
For a small speaker I am ever impressed with the clear quality of audio that I get from it! I put this little guy in the kitchen for wife and she uses it constantly! I also have a Play5(1st gen) at the office and at my in-laws house.
If you get a chance to listen to their different models, you will notice that the Play3 and Play5 are MUCH fuller sounding. However, you just can't go wrong with a couple Play1s where you just don't have room for the larger boxes.
I recommend SONOS to everyone I know!

Have a huge Dyson for whole house vacuum days and love it...bought this to do daily spot cleaning on hardwood floors and tile. The battery life and suction power are perfect for my house!

Already had 1 of these guys but the locations the cables were ran in the house made coverage tough.
I purchased this one as a second for added coverage and googled how to set up 2 of them.
I ended up putting them on opposite sides of the house and connecting them physically with existing Cat5 cable. When I powered the second one up it automatically configured itself with a few answered questions and immediately the wifi network was solid through the whole house!
Sleek design, simple configuration and fantastic support articles online to make setting up and using a win!

Is pairing the Beam with 2 Play 5s and a Sub versus the Sub and 2 Sonos Ones an overkilI? I just purchased 2 Play 5s, 4 Sonos Ones, a Sub and the Beam and I am now having second thoughts on the original configuration/room location
Too much Sonos is never a bad thing....
With that said, I would recommend that you use the Play1 speakers for your surround speakers and move the Play5 speakers to other areas of listening. The sub is going to very nicely compliment the Play1 and Beam speakers while the Play 5 speakers can be enjoyed with or without a sub and not leave a person lacking much. This is especially the case if you pair 2 Play5 speakers in stereo mode!!

I have a 2008 Samsung without a Arc hdmi. What is the best way to use the beam for both streaming amazon music and tv audio without any receiver/amp.

I'm thinking of getting my husband a sound bar for Christmas, he wants a sound system but nothing crazy we had a old school system but it was a pain with all the wires and speaker, should I go with this one or would a cheaper one be just as good
If you love music and enjoy watching any TV or movies you will not regret the purchase. It will probably bow him away. A purchase like this would last many year of enjoyment versus a cheaper option which would degrade in audio quality and compatibility quickly as technology improves.
We play background music in the house through our Playbar which is a huge added bonus over what the majority of alternatives allow.

Sound bar placed behind tv due to shelf depth. It's in an 24" deep niche with approximately 4 inches of opening on sides and top of tv. Will it affect sound bar performance and if so, how much degradation?
I would not spend the money on the SONOS playbar if you are going to put it in a cabinet like this. Sound relies on uninterrupted lines of sight for proper intelligibility and dispersion. You will lose a lot of that as it bounces around in the cabinet before it exits and will probably find yourself running the volume a lot higher then normal as well.

I'm considering buying the Sonos 5.1 Channel Wireless Theater System with a pair of Sonos One Speaker, I have my router located in a different room from the Sonos system, is this an issue?
No that's not an issue at all. Make sure to purchase the BOOST which will sit in your closet by the router to connect the SONOS to your internet as well as the wireless network for you to control it from your devices.
(the boost is not often recommended by sales people because SONOS is wifi compatible. Purchase it anyways lest you find yourself frustrated with slowed wifi speeds and occasional connection dropouts)

If I purchase a Sonos Theater System, will I be able to play my music from a computer located in a different room? If so can you listen to just music without the tv on?
simply put, yes. Use the SONOS application on your computer and set it's music library as one of the shared sources to the Sonos System.

No there is no HDMI. The computer is too thin to have space for the larger connections. Instead it has 1 USB Type-C port on each side of the computer. You would need an adapter from USB-C to HDMI.
